CVSS v3.1 |
| The TrueBooker – Appointment Booking and Scheduler System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to account takeover via improper password reset validation in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.3. This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity before resetting their password. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to reset the password of arbitrary user accounts, including administrators, and gain access to those accounts. |
| The MStore API WordPress plugin before 4.21.0 does not verify the payment with the payment gateway before marking an order as paid on several of its payment-completion endpoints, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to mark an arbitrary order fully paid without paying and obtain goods or services for free. |
| The Events Made Easy WordPress plugin before 3.1.2 does not bind the payment authorization token to the payment record being charged, allowing unauthenticated attackers to pay a low amount for a cheap booking and have a separate, higher-priced booking marked as fully paid. |
| The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.0. This is due to the legacy lost-password handler rc_process_lost_password_form() consuming the attacker-controlled rc_redirect POST parameter into two unvalidated sinks in legacy/includes/forms.php: wp_redirect( esc_url( $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) . ... ) at line 243, and add_query_arg( array( 'key' => $key, 'login' => ... ), $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) inside rc_send_password_reset_email() at line 306. The nonce required to reach the handler is broadcast by the public [login_form] shortcode at line 207 to any anonymous visitor. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to issue a password-reset request for any account (including administrators) whose reset email body points the victim at an attacker-controlled host carrying a valid reset key/login. When the victim clicks the link, the reset key leaks to the attacker, who can replay it against the legitimate site to complete account takeover. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
proc: protect ptrace_may_access() with exec_update_lock (part 1)
Fix the easy cases where procfs currently calls ptrace_may_access() without
exec_update_lock protection, where the fix is to simply add the extra lock
or use mm_access():
- do_task_stat(): grab exec_update_lock
- proc_pid_wchan(): grab exec_update_lock
- proc_map_files_lookup(): use mm_access() instead of get_task_mm()
- proc_map_files_readdir(): use mm_access() instead of get_task_mm()
- proc_ns_get_link(): grab exec_update_lock
- proc_ns_readlink(): grab exec_update_lock |

| Improper handling of the returnUrl parameter in the Forgot Password function of Veeam Service Provider Console allows an unauthenticated attacker to control the domain of the generated password reset link. | A logic vulnerability in the password reset token validation routine implemented by osTicket in versions prior to v1.17.8 and v1.18.4. During the password reset process, the application retrieves the timestamp associated with the provided token and checks whether the configured validity period has expired. Consequently, the expiry check is only performed if the timestamp lookup fails, allowing tokens with an existing timestamp to bypass the intended expiry validation. Therefore, an attacker able to obtain a valid password reset token could reuse it to perform an unauthorised password reset and compromise the affected account. |
| FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to version 1.8.224, the public endpoint `POST /user-setup/{hash}/{invite_sent_at}` (`OpenController@userSetupSave`) selects the target account solely by its `invite_hash` column, then overwrites that account's email and password and logs in as it. No authentication, cookie, or prior session is required. After a user activates, FreeScout sets `invite_hash` to the empty string. On MySQL and MariaDB, `VARCHAR` equality ignores trailing spaces, so a single URL-encoded space (`%20`) matches the stored empty string and selects the lowest-id activated user. The expiry guard decrypts `invite_sent_at` with the target's password hash, but `Helper::decrypt` returns its raw input unchanged when decryption fails. A plaintext numeric value such as `9999999999` therefore passes the time-to-live check without any secret. The result is that an anonymous attacker sets the email and password of the lowest-id activated FreeScout account (a support agent, or an administrator if one was added by invitation) and authenticates as that account. Version 1.8.224 contains a fix. |
| An issue in DokuWiki 2025-05-14b "Librarian" 56.2 allows a remote attacker to create an account via the register function in inc/auth.php. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because this is the intentional behavior when the product is configured for self-registration (a non-default feature). The supplier also notes that there is no configuration migration scenario that would result in the self-registration being enabled without the administrators knowledge. |
