CVE-2024-50074 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parport: Proper fix for array out-of-bounds access The recent fix for array out-of-bounds accesses replaced sprintf() calls blindly with snprintf(). However, since snprintf() returns the would-be-printed size, not the actually output size, the length calculation can still go over the given limit. Use scnprintf() instead of snprintf(), which returns the actually output letters, for addressing the potential out-of-bounds access properly.
CVE-2024-50022 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: device-dax: correct pgoff align in dax_set_mapping() pgoff should be aligned using ALIGN_DOWN() instead of ALIGN(). Otherwise, vmf->address not aligned to fault_size will be aligned to the next alignment, that can result in memory failure getting the wrong address. It's a subtle situation that only can be observed in page_mapped_in_vma() after the page is page fault handled by dev_dax_huge_fault. Generally, there is little chance to perform page_mapped_in_vma in dev-dax's page unless in specific error injection to the dax device to trigger an MCE - memory-failure. In that case, page_mapped_in_vma() will be triggered to determine which task is accessing the failure address and kill that task in the end. We used self-developed dax device (which is 2M aligned mapping) , to perform error injection to random address. It turned out that error injected to non-2M-aligned address was causing endless MCE until panic. Because page_mapped_in_vma() kept resulting wrong address and the task accessing the failure address was never killed properly: [ 3783.719419] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3784.049006] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3784.049190] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3784.448042] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3784.448186] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3784.792026] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3784.792179] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3785.162502] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3785.162633] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3785.461116] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3785.461247] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3785.764730] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3785.764859] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3786.042128] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3786.042259] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3786.464293] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3786.464423] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3786.818090] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3786.818217] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered [ 3787.085297] mce: Uncorrected hardware memory error in user-access at 200c9742380 [ 3787.085424] Memory failure: 0x200c9742: recovery action for dax page: Recovered It took us several weeks to pinpoint this problem,  but we eventually used bpftrace to trace the page fault and mce address and successfully identified the issue. CVE-2024-49969 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix index out of bounds in DCN30 color transformation This commit addresses a potential index out of bounds issue in the `cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format` function in the DCN30 color management module. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, the function returns false to indicate an error. drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn30/dcn30_cm_common.c:180 cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.red' 1025 <= s32max drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn30/dcn30_cm_common.c:181 cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.green' 1025 <= s32max drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn30/dcn30_cm_common.c:182 cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.blue' 1025 <= s32max

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: bcm2835: Fix timeout during suspend mode During noirq suspend phase the Raspberry Pi power driver suffer of firmware property timeouts. The reason is that the IRQ of the underlying BCM2835 mailbox is disabled and rpi_firmware_property_list() will always run into a timeout [1]. Since the VideoCore side isn't consider as a wakeup source, set the IRQF_NO_SUSPEND flag for the mailbox IRQ in order to keep it enabled during suspend-resume cycle. CVE-2024-49895 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix index out of bounds in DCN30 degamma hardware format translation This commit addresses a potential index out of bounds issue in the `cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_degamma_hw_format` function in the DCN30 color management module. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, the function returns false to indicate an error. CVE-2024-47757 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: fix potential oob read in nilfs_btree_check_delete() The function nilfs_btree_check_delete(), which checks whether degeneration to direct mapping occurs before deleting a b-tree entry, causes memory access outside the block buffer when retrieving the maximum key if the root node has no entries. This does not usually happen because b-tree mappings with 0 child nodes are never created by mkfs.nilfs2 or nilfs2 itself. However, it can happen if the b-tree root node read from a device is configured that way, so fix this potential issue by adding a check for that case.
CVE-2024-47751 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: kirin: Fix buffer overflow in kirin_pcie_parse_port() Within kirin_pcie_parse_port(), the pcie->num_slots is compared to pcie->gpio_id_reset size (MAX_PCI_SLOTS) which is correct and would lead to an overflow. Thus, fix condition to pcie->num_slots + 1 >= MAX_PCI_SLOTS and move pcie->num_slots increment below the if-statement to avoid out-of-bounds array access. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. [kwilczynski: commit log]
CVE-2024-47686 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ep93xx: clock: Fix off by one in ep93xx_div_recalc_rate() The psc->div[] array has psc->num_div elements. These values come from when we call clk_hw_register_div(). It's adc_divisors and ARRAY_SIZE(adc_divisors)) and so on. So this condition needs to be >= instead of > to prevent an out of bounds read.

CVE-2024-44965 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm: Fix pti_clone_pgtable() alignment assumption Guenter reported dodgy crashes on an i386-nosmp build using GCC-11 that had the form of endless traps until entry stack exhaust and then #DF from the stack guard. It turned out that pti_clone_pgtable() had alignment assumptions on the start address, notably it hard assumes start is PMD aligned. This is true on x86_64, but very much not true on i386. These assumptions can cause the end condition to malfunction, leading to a 'short' clone. Guess what happens when the user mapping has a short copy of the entry text? Use the correct increment form for addr to avoid alignment assumptions.
