| CVE-2022-50857 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rapidio: rio: fix possible name leak in rio_register_mport() If device_register() returns error, the name allocated by dev_set_name() need be freed. It should use put_device() to give up the reference in the error path, so that the name can be freed in kobject_cleanup(), and list_del() is called to delete the port from rio_mports. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68771 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain syzbot reported a kernel BUG in ocfs2_find_victim_chain() because the `cl_next_free_rec` field of the allocation chain list (next free slot in the chain list) is 0, triggring the BUG_ON(!cl->cl_next_free_rec) condition in ocfs2_find_victim_chain() and panicking the kernel. To fix this, an if condition is introduced in ocfs2_claim_suballoc_bits(), just before calling ocfs2_find_victim_chain(), the code block in it being executed when either of the following conditions is true: 1. `cl_next_free_rec` is equal to 0, indicating that there are no free chains in the allocation chain list 2. `cl_next_free_rec` is greater than `cl_count` (the total number of chains in the allocation chain list) Either of them being true is indicative of the fact that there are no chains left for usage. This is addressed using ocfs2_error(), which prints the error log for debugging purposes, rather than panicking the kernel. | ||||
| CVE-2022-50839 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: fix potential buffer head reference count leak As in 'jbd2_fc_wait_bufs' if buffer isn't uptodate, will return -EIO without update 'journal->j_fc_off'. But 'jbd2_fc_release_bufs' will release buffer head from ‘j_fc_off - 1’ if 'bh' is NULL will terminal release which will lead to buffer head buffer head reference count leak. To solve above issue, update 'journal->j_fc_off' before return -EIO. | ||||

This commit also renames it to avoid confusion with the similarly name variable in the same function. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40287 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exfat: fix improper check of dentry.stream.valid_size We found an infinite loop bug in the exFAT file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. When a dentry in an exFAT filesystem is malformed, the following system calls — SYS_openat, SYS_ftruncate, and SYS_pwrite64 — can cause the kernel to hang. Root cause analysis shows that the size validation code in exfat_find() does not check whether dentry.stream.valid_size is negative. As a result, the system calls mentioned above can succeed and eventually trigger the DoS issue. This patch adds a check for negative dentry.stream.valid_size to prevent this vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40017 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: iris: Fix memory leak by freeing untracked persist buffer One internal buffer which is allocated only once per session was not being freed during session close because it was not being tracked as part of internal buffer list which resulted in a memory leak. Add the necessary logic to explicitly free the untracked internal buffer during session close to ensure all allocated memory is released properly. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40013 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: qcom: audioreach: fix potential null pointer dereference It is possible that the topology parsing function audioreach_widget_load_module_common() could return NULL or an error pointer. Add missing NULL check so that we do not dereference it. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40004 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/9p: Fix buffer overflow in USB transport layer A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the USB 9pfs transport layer where inconsistent size validation between packet header parsing and actual data copying allows a malicious USB host to overflow heap buffers. The issue occurs because: - usb9pfs_rx_header() validates only the declared size in packet header - usb9pfs_rx_complete() uses req->actual (actual received bytes) for memcpy This allows an attacker to craft packets with small declared size (bypassing validation) but large actual payload (triggering overflow in memcpy). Add validation in usb9pfs_rx_complete() to ensure req->actual does not exceed the buffer capacity before copying data. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40299 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: Implement gettimex64 with -EOPNOTSUPP gve implemented a ptp_clock for sole use of do_aux_work at this time. ptp_clock_gettime() and ptp_sys_offset() assume every ptp_clock has implemented either gettimex64 or gettime64. Stub gettimex64 and return -EOPNOTSUPP to prevent NULL dereferencing. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40217 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pidfs: validate extensible ioctls Validate extensible ioctls stricter than we do now. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40229 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: fix potential memory leak by cleaning ops_filter in damon_destroy_scheme Currently, damon_destroy_scheme() only cleans up the filter list but leaves ops_filter untouched, which could lead to memory leaks when a scheme is destroyed. This patch ensures both filter and ops_filter are properly freed in damon_destroy_scheme(), preventing potential memory leaks. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40230 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: prevent poison consumption when splitting THP When performing memory error injection on a THP (Transparent Huge Page) mapped to userspace on an x86 server, the kernel panics with the following trace. The expected behavior is to terminate the affected process instead of panicking the kernel, as the x86 Machine Check code can recover from an in-userspace #MC. mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 0: Machine Check Exception: f Bank 3: bd80000000070134 mce: [Hardware Error]: RIP 10:<ffffffff8372f8bc> {memchr_inv+0x4c/0xf0} mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC afff7bbff88a ADDR 1d301b000 MISC 80 PPIN 1e741e77539027db mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:d06d0 TIME 1758093249 SOCKET 0 APIC 0 microcode 80000320 mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check: Data load in unrecoverable area of kernel Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal local machine check The root cause of this panic is that handling a memory failure triggered by an in-userspace #MC necessitates splitting the THP. The splitting process employs a mechanism, implemented in try_to_map_unused_to_zeropage(), which reads the pages in the THP to identify zero-filled pages. However, reading the pages in the THP results in a second in-kernel #MC, occurring before the initial memory_failure() completes, ultimately leading to a kernel panic. See the kernel panic call trace on the two #MCs. First Machine Check occurs // [1] memory_failure() // [2] try_to_split_thp_page() split_huge_page() split_huge_page_to_list_to_order() __folio_split() // [3] remap_page() remove_migration_ptes() remove_migration_pte() try_to_map_unused_to_zeropage() // [4] memchr_inv() // [5] Second Machine Check occurs // [6] Kernel panic [1] Triggered by accessing a hardware-poisoned THP in userspace, which is typically recoverable by terminating the affected process. [2] Call folio_set_has_hwpoisoned() before try_to_split_thp_page(). [3] Pass the RMP_USE_SHARED_ZEROPAGE remap flag to remap_page(). [4] Try to map the unused THP to zeropage. [5] Re-access pages in the hw-poisoned THP in the kernel. [6] Triggered in-kernel, leading to a panic kernel. In Step[2], memory_failure() sets the poisoned flag on the page in the THP by TestSetPageHWPoison() before calling try_to_split_thp_page(). As suggested by David Hildenbrand, fix this panic by not accessing to the poisoned page in the THP during zeropage identification, while continuing to scan unaffected pages in the THP for possible zeropage mapping. This prevents a second in-kernel #MC that would cause kernel panic in Step[4]. Thanks to Andrew Zaborowski for his initial work on fixing this issue. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40232 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rv: Fully convert enabled_monitors to use list_head as iterator The callbacks in enabled_monitors_seq_ops are inconsistent. Some treat the iterator as struct rv_monitor *, while others treat the iterator as struct list_head *. This causes a wrong type cast and crashes the system as reported by Nathan. Convert everything to use struct list_head * as iterator. This also makes enabled_monitors consistent with available_monitors. | ||||
