CVE-2023-30585 1 Nodejs 1 Node.js 2025-11-03 7.5 High
A vulnerability has been identified in the Node.js (.msi version) installation process, specifically affecting Windows users who install Node.js using the .msi installer. This vulnerability emerges during the repair operation, where the "msiexec.exe" process, running under the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM context, attempts to read the %USERPROFILE% environment variable from the current user's registry. The issue arises when the path referenced by the %USERPROFILE% environment variable does not exist. In such cases, the "msiexec.exe" process attempts to create the specified path in an unsafe manner, potentially leading to the creation of arbitrary folders in arbitrary locations. The severity of this vulnerability is heightened by the fact that the %USERPROFILE% environment variable in the Windows registry can be modified by standard (or "non-privileged") users. Consequently, unprivileged actors, including malicious entities or trojans, can manipulate the environment variable key to deceive the privileged "msiexec.exe" process. This manipulation can result in the creation of folders in unintended and potentially malicious locations. It is important to note that this vulnerability is specific to Windows users who install Node.js using the .msi installer. Users who opt for other installation methods are not affected by this particular issue.

CVE-2022-42919 3 Fedoraproject, Python, Redhat 4 Fedora, Python, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2025-11-03 7.8 High
Python 3.9.x before 3.9.16 and 3.10.x before 3.10.9 on Linux allows local privilege escalation in a non-default configuration. The Python multiprocessing library, when used with the forkserver start method on Linux, allows pickles to be deserialized from any user in the same machine local network namespace, which in many system configurations means any user on the same machine. Pickles can execute arbitrary code. Thus, this allows for local user privilege escalation to the user that any forkserver process is running as. Setting multiprocessing.util.abstract_sockets_supported to False is a workaround. The forkserver start method for multiprocessing is not the default start method. This issue is Linux specific because only Linux supports abstract namespace sockets. CPython before 3.9 does not make use of Linux abstract namespace sockets by default. Support for users manually specifying an abstract namespace socket was added as a bugfix in 3.7.8 and 3.8.3, but users would need to make specific uncommon API calls in order to do that in CPython before 3.9.
CVE-2021-36690 3 Apple, Oracle, Sqlite 6 Iphone Os, Macos, Tvos and 3 more 2025-11-03 7.5 High
A segmentation fault can occur in the sqlite3.exe command-line component of SQLite 3.36.0 via the idxGetTableInfo function when there is a crafted SQL query. NOTE: the vendor disputes the relevance of this report because a sqlite3.exe user already has full privileges (e.g., is intentionally allowed to execute commands). This report does NOT imply any problem in the SQLite library.
CVE-2025-21819 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "drm/amd/display: Use HW lock mgr for PSR1" This reverts commit a2b5a9956269 ("drm/amd/display: Use HW lock mgr for PSR1") Because it may cause system hang while connect with two edp panel.
CVE-2025-21802 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: fix oops when unload drivers paralleling When unload hclge driver, it tries to disable sriov first for each ae_dev node from hnae3_ae_dev_list. If user unloads hns3 driver at the time, because it removes all the ae_dev nodes, and it may cause oops. But we can't simply use hnae3_common_lock for this. Because in the process flow of pci_disable_sriov(), it will trigger the remove flow of VF, which will also take hnae3_common_lock. To fixes it, introduce a new mutex to protect the unload process.
CVE-2025-21781 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: fix panic during interface removal Reference counting is used to ensure that batadv_hardif_neigh_node and batadv_hard_iface are not freed before/during batadv_v_elp_throughput_metric_update work is finished. But there isn't a guarantee that the hard if will remain associated with a soft interface up until the work is finished. This fixes a crash triggered by reboot that looks like this: Call trace: batadv_v_mesh_free+0xd0/0x4dc [batman_adv] batadv_v_elp_throughput_metric_update+0x1c/0xa4 process_one_work+0x178/0x398 worker_thread+0x2e8/0x4d0 kthread+0xd8/0xdc ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 (the batadv_v_mesh_free call is misleading, and does not actually happen) I was able to make the issue happen more reliably by changing hardif_neigh->bat_v.metric_work work to be delayed work. This allowed me to track down and confirm the fix. [sven@narfation.org: prevent entering batadv_v_elp_get_throughput without soft_iface]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: Fix sleeping in invalid context in die() die() can be called in exception handler, and therefore cannot sleep. However, die() takes spinlock_t which can sleep with PREEMPT_RT enabled. That causes the following warning: BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at kernel/locking/spinlock_rt.c:48 in_atomic(): 1, irqs_disabled(): 1, non_block: 0, pid: 285, name: mutex preempt_count: 110001, expected: 0 RCU nest depth: 0, expected: 0 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 285 Comm: mutex Not tainted 6.12.0-rc7-00022-ge19049cf7d56-dirty #234 Hardware name: riscv-virtio,qemu (DT) Call Trace: dump_backtrace+0x1c/0x24 show_stack+0x2c/0x38 dump_stack_lvl+0x5a/0x72 dump_stack+0x14/0x1c __might_resched+0x130/0x13a rt_spin_lock+0x2a/0x5c die+0x24/0x112 do_trap_insn_illegal+0xa0/0xea _new_vmalloc_restore_context_a0+0xcc/0xd8 Oops - illegal instruction [#1] Switch to use raw_spinlock_t, which does not sleep even with PREEMPT_RT enabled.
CVE-2024-57931 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: ignore unknown extended permissions When evaluating extended permissions, ignore unknown permissions instead of calling BUG(). This commit ensures that future permissions can be added without interfering with older kernels.
CVE-2024-57930 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Have process_string() also allow arrays In order to catch a common bug where a TRACE_EVENT() TP_fast_assign() assigns an address of an allocated string to the ring buffer and then references it in TP_printk(), which can be executed hours later when the string is free, the function test_event_printk() runs on all events as they are registered to make sure there's no unwanted dereferencing. It calls process_string() to handle cases in TP_printk() format that has "%s". It returns whether or not the string is safe. But it can have some false positives. For instance, xe_bo_move() has: TP_printk("move_lacks_source:%s, migrate object %p [size %zu] from %s to %s device_id:%s", __entry->move_lacks_source ? "yes" : "no", __entry->bo, __entry->size, xe_mem_type_to_name[__entry->old_placement], xe_mem_type_to_name[__entry->new_placement], __get_str(device_id)) Where the "%s" references into xe_mem_type_to_name[]. This is an array of pointers that should be safe for the event to access. Instead of flagging this as a bad reference, if a reference points to an array, where the record field is the index, consider it safe.
CVE-2024-57917 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: topology: Keep the cpumask unchanged when printing cpumap During fuzz testing, the following warning was discovered: different return values (15 and 11) from vsnprintf("%*pbl ", ...) test:keyward is WARNING in kvasprintf WARNING: CPU: 55 PID: 1168477 at lib/kasprintf.c:30 kvasprintf+0x121/0x130 Call Trace: kvasprintf+0x121/0x130 kasprintf+0xa6/0xe0 bitmap_print_to_buf+0x89/0x100 core_siblings_list_read+0x7e/0xb0 kernfs_file_read_iter+0x15b/0x270 new_sync_read+0x153/0x260 vfs_read+0x215/0x290 ksys_read+0xb9/0x160 do_syscall_64+0x56/0x100 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x78/0xe2 The call trace shows that kvasprintf() reported this warning during the printing of core_siblings_list. kvasprintf() has several steps: (1) First, calculate the length of the resulting formatted string. (2) Allocate a buffer based on the returned length. (3) Then, perform the actual string formatting. (4) Check whether the lengths of the formatted strings returned in steps (1) and (2) are consistent. If the core_cpumask is modified between steps (1) and (3), the lengths obtained in these two steps may not match. Indeed our test includes cpu hotplugging, which should modify core_cpumask while printing. To fix this issue, cache the cpumask into a temporary variable before calling cpumap_print_{list, cpumask}_to_buf(), to keep it unchanged during the printing process.
CVE-2024-57916 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: microchip: pci1xxxx: Resolve kernel panic during GPIO IRQ handling Resolve kernel panic caused by improper handling of IRQs while accessing GPIO values. This is done by replacing generic_handle_irq with handle_nested_irq.
CVE-2024-57904 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: at91: call input_free_device() on allocated iio_dev Current implementation of at91_ts_register() calls input_free_deivce() on st->ts_input, however, the err label can be reached before the allocated iio_dev is stored to st->ts_input. Thus call input_free_device() on input instead of st->ts_input.
