CVE-2025-40330 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Shutdown FW DMA in bnxt_shutdown() The netif_close() call in bnxt_shutdown() only stops packet DMA. There may be FW DMA for trace logging (recently added) that will continue. If we kexec to a new kernel, the DMA will corrupt memory in the new kernel. Add bnxt_hwrm_func_drv_unrgtr() to unregister the driver from the FW. This will stop the FW DMA. In case the call fails, call pcie_flr() to reset the function and stop the DMA.
CVE-2025-40329 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sched: Fix deadlock in drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb The Mesa issue referenced below pointed out a possible deadlock: [ 1231.611031] Possible interrupt unsafe locking scenario: [ 1231.611033] CPU0 CPU1 [ 1231.611034] ---- ---- [ 1231.611035] lock(&xa->xa_lock#17); [ 1231.611038] local_irq_disable(); [ 1231.611039] lock(&fence->lock); [ 1231.611041] lock(&xa->xa_lock#17); [ 1231.611044] <Interrupt> [ 1231.611045] lock(&fence->lock); [ 1231.611047] *** DEADLOCK *** In this example, CPU0 would be any function accessing job->dependencies through the xa_* functions that don't disable interrupts (eg: drm_sched_job_add_dependency(), drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb()). CPU1 is executing drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb() as a fence signalling callback so in an interrupt context. It will deadlock when trying to grab the xa_lock which is already held by CPU0. Replacing all xa_* usage by their xa_*_irq counterparts would fix this issue, but Christian pointed out another issue: dma_fence_signal takes fence.lock and so does dma_fence_add_callback. dma_fence_signal() // locks f1.lock -> drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb() -> foreach dependencies -> dma_fence_add_callback() // locks f2.lock This will deadlock if f1 and f2 share the same spinlock. To fix both issues, the code iterating on dependencies and re-arming them is moved out to drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_work(). [phasta: commit message nits]
CVE-2025-40327 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/core: Fix system hang caused by cpu-clock usage cpu-clock usage by the async-profiler tool can trigger a system hang, which got bisected back to the following commit by Octavia Togami: 18dbcbfabfff ("perf: Fix the POLL_HUP delivery breakage") causes this issue The root cause of the hang is that cpu-clock is a special type of SW event which relies on hrtimers. The __perf_event_overflow() callback is invoked from the hrtimer handler for cpu-clock events, and __perf_event_overflow() tries to call cpu_clock_event_stop() to stop the event, which calls htimer_cancel() to cancel the hrtimer. But that's a recursion into the hrtimer code from a hrtimer handler, which (unsurprisingly) deadlocks. To fix this bug, use hrtimer_try_to_cancel() instead, and set the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag, which causes perf_swevent_hrtimer() to stop the event once it sees the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag. [ mingo: Fixed the comments and improved the changelog. ]
CVE-2025-40343 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-fc: avoid scheduling association deletion twice When forcefully shutting down a port via the configfs interface, nvmet_port_subsys_drop_link() first calls nvmet_port_del_ctrls() and then nvmet_disable_port(). Both functions will eventually schedule all remaining associations for deletion. The current implementation checks whether an association is about to be removed, but only after the work item has already been scheduled. As a result, it is possible for the first scheduled work item to free all resources, and then for the same work item to be scheduled again for deletion. Because the association list is an RCU list, it is not possible to take a lock and remove the list entry directly, so it cannot be looked up again. Instead, a flag (terminating) must be used to determine whether the association is already in the process of being deleted.
CVE-2025-39992 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: swap: check for stable address space before operating on the VMA It is possible to hit a zero entry while traversing the vmas in unuse_mm() called from swapoff path and accessing it causes the OOPS: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000446--> Loading the memory from offset 0x40 on the XA_ZERO_ENTRY as address. Mem abort info: ESR = 0x0000000096000005 EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits SET = 0, FnV = 0 EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 FSC = 0x05: level 1 translation fault The issue is manifested from the below race between the fork() on a process and swapoff: fork(dup_mmap()) swapoff(unuse_mm) --------------- ----------------- 1) Identical mtree is built using __mt_dup(). 2) copy_pte_range()--> copy_nonpresent_pte(): The dst mm is added into the mmlist to be visible to the swapoff operation. 3) Fatal signal is sent to the parent process(which is the current during the fork) thus skip the duplication of the vmas and mark the vma range with XA_ZERO_ENTRY as a marker for this process that helps during exit_mmap(). 4) swapoff is tried on the 'mm' added to the 'mmlist' as part of the 2. 5) unuse_mm(), that iterates through the vma's of this 'mm' will hit the non-NULL zero entry and operating on this zero entry as a vma is resulting into the oops. The proper fix would be around not exposing this partially-valid tree to others when droping the mmap lock, which is being solved with [1]. A simpler solution would be checking for MMF_UNSTABLE, as it is set if mm_struct is not fully initialized in dup_mmap(). Thanks to Liam/Lorenzo/David for all the suggestions in fixing this issue.
CVE-2022-50582 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: core: Prevent integer underflow By using a ratio of delay to poll_enabled_time that is not integer time_remaining underflows and does not exit the loop as expected. As delay could be derived from DT and poll_enabled_time is defined in the driver this can easily happen. Use a signed iterator to make sure that the loop exits once the remaining time is negative.
CVE-2025-40238 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Fix IPsec cleanup over MPV device When we do mlx5e_detach_netdev() we eventually disable blocking events notifier, among those events are IPsec MPV events from IB to core. So before disabling those blocking events, make sure to also unregister the devcom device and mark all this device operations as complete, in order to prevent the other device from using invalid netdev during future devcom events which could cause the trace below. CVE-2025-40193 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xtensa: simdisk: add input size check in proc_write_simdisk A malicious user could pass an arbitrarily bad value to memdup_user_nul(), potentially causing kernel crash. This follows the same pattern as commit ee76746387f6 ("netdevsim: prevent bad user input in nsim_dev_health_break_write()")
CVE-2025-40195 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mount: handle NULL values in mnt_ns_release() When calling in listmount() mnt_ns_release() may be passed a NULL pointer. Handle that case gracefully.
CVE-2025-40035 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: uinput - zero-initialize uinput_ff_upload_compat to avoid info leak Struct ff_effect_compat is embedded twice inside uinput_ff_upload_compat, contains internal padding. In particular, there is a hole after struct ff_replay to satisfy alignment requirements for the following union member. Without clearing the structure, copy_to_user() may leak stack data to userspace. Initialize ff_up_compat to zero before filling valid fields.
CVE-2025-68784 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix a UAF problem in xattr repair The xchk_setup_xattr_buf function can allocate a new value buffer, which means that any reference to ab->value before the call could become a dangling pointer. Fix this by moving an assignment to after the buffer setup.
CVE-2023-53728 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-timers: Ensure timer ID search-loop limit is valid posix_timer_add() tries to allocate a posix timer ID by starting from the cached ID which was stored by the last successful allocation. This is done in a loop searching the ID space for a free slot one by one. The loop has to terminate when the search wrapped around to the starting point. But that's racy vs. establishing the starting point. That is read out lockless, which leads to the following problem: CPU0 CPU1 posix_timer_add() start = sig->posix_timer_id; lock(hash_lock); ... posix_timer_add() if (++sig->posix_timer_id < 0) start = sig->posix_timer_id; sig->posix_timer_id = 0; So CPU1 can observe a negative start value, i.e. -1, and the loop break never happens because the condition can never be true: if (sig->posix_timer_id == start) break; While this is unlikely to ever turn into an endless loop as the ID space is huge (INT_MAX), the racy read of the start value caught the attention of KCSAN and Dmitry unearthed that incorrectness. Rewrite it so that all id operations are under the hash lock.
CVE-2025-40037 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: simplefb: Fix use after free in simplefb_detach_genpds() The pm_domain cleanup can not be devres managed as it uses struct simplefb_par which is allocated within struct fb_info by framebuffer_alloc(). This allocation is explicitly freed by unregister_framebuffer() in simplefb_remove(). Devres managed cleanup runs after the device remove call and thus can no longer access struct simplefb_par. Call simplefb_detach_genpds() explicitly from simplefb_destroy() like the cleanup functions for clocks and regulators. Fixes an use after free on M2 Mac mini during aperture_remove_conflicting_devices() using the downstream asahi kernel with Debian's kernel config. For unknown reasons this started to consistently dereference an invalid pointer in v6.16.3 based kernels. CVE-2025-40031 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tee: fix register_shm_helper() In register_shm_helper(), fix incorrect error handling for a call to iov_iter_extract_pages(). A case is missing for when iov_iter_extract_pages() only got some pages and return a number larger than 0, but not the requested amount. This fixes a possible NULL pointer dereference following a bad input from ioctl(TEE_IOC_SHM_REGISTER) where parts of the buffer isn't mapped.
CVE-2025-40204 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High

CVE-2025-68747 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix UAF on kernel BO VA nodes If the MMU is down, panthor_vm_unmap_range() might return an error. We expect the page table to be updated still, and if the MMU is blocked, the rest of the GPU should be blocked too, so no risk of accessing physical memory returned to the system (which the current code doesn't cover for anyway). Proceed with the rest of the cleanup instead of bailing out and leaving the va_node inserted in the drm_mm, which leads to UAF when other adjacent nodes are removed from the drm_mm tree.
CVE-2025-40318 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix race in hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once() does lookup and then cancel the entry under two separate lock sections. Meanwhile, hci_cmd_sync_work() can also delete the same entry, leading to double list_del() and "UAF". Fix this by holding cmd_sync_work_lock across both lookup and cancel, so that the entry cannot be removed concurrently.
CVE-2016-20022 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel before 4.8, usb_parse_endpoint in drivers/usb/core/config.c does not validate the wMaxPacketSize field of an endpoint descriptor. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the supplier.
