| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix to don't dirty inode for readonly filesystem
syzbot reports f2fs bug as below:

The root cause is:
- do_sys_open
- f2fs_lookup
- __f2fs_find_entry
- f2fs_i_depth_write
- f2fs_mark_inode_dirty_sync
- f2fs_dirty_inode
- set_inode_flag(inode, FI_DIRTY_INODE)
- umount
- kill_f2fs_super
- kill_block_super
- generic_shutdown_super
- sync_filesystem
: sb is readonly, skip sync_filesystem()
- evict_inodes
- iput
- f2fs_evict_inode
- f2fs_bug_on(sbi, is_inode_flag_set(inode, FI_DIRTY_INODE))
: trigger kernel panic
When we try to repair i_current_depth in readonly filesystem, let's
skip dirty inode to avoid panic in later f2fs_evict_inode(). |
@grpc/grps-js implements the core functionality of gRPC purely in JavaScript, without a C++ addon. Prior to 1.9.16, 1.10.12, 1.11.4, 1.12.7, 1.13.5, and 1.14.4, an invalid incoming HTTP/2 stream initiation can cause a server process created using @grpc/grpc-js to crash. This issue is fixed in versions 1.9.16, 1.10.12, 1.11.4, 1.12.7, 1.13.5, and 1.14.4.

Prior to 1.9.16, 1.10.12, 1.11.4, 1.12.7, 1.13.5, and 1.14.4, an invalid incoming compressed message can cause a client or server process that uses @grpc/grpc-js to crash. | undici's cache interceptor mishandles malformed Cache-Control private directives. In undici 7.0.0 up to before 7.29.0 and 8.0.0 up to before 8.9.0, a response carrying a degenerate qualified private directive, such as private set to an empty value, can be stored in the default shared cache and later served to a different caller with the same cache key, disclosing private response bodies and headers including Set-Cookie. Separately, a Cache-Control header that combines an unqualified private directive with a qualified one triggers an uncaught TypeError in the cache-control parser, which rejects the request and, depending on the consumer's error handling, can terminate the process. Both issues affect applications using the cache interceptor in shared mode, including the default configuration. The issues are fixed in undici 7.29.0 and 8.9.0. |

Wings is the server control plane for Pterodactyl, a free, open-source game server management panel. Prior to 1.13.0, a malformed packet received during the SFTP connection handshake causes a Go panic. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.
Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.13.8, CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenLabels.Regex and CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenAnnotations.Regex were not validated by the configuration admission webhook, allowing a Cluster Admin to store a malformed regex that later reached regexp.MustCompile in pkg/api/forbidden_list.go through internal/webhook/node/user_metadata.go and crashed the node admission webhook on Node create, update, or patch requests. This issue is fixed in version 0.13.8.
NVIDIA Triton Inference Server for Linux contains a vulnerability where an attacker can cause an uncaught exception. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
CoreDNS is a DNS server written in Go. From 1.9.4 until 1.14.5, a network DNS client allowed to request AXFR for a CoreDNS zone can trigger a panic when CoreDNS is configured with k8s_external headless-service zone transfers and Kubernetes contains a headless service endpoint with no declared ports; plugin/kubernetes/object/endpoint.go creates Port: -1, plugin/k8s_external/msg_to_dns.go skips that service, plugin/k8s_external/transfer.go sends an empty []dns.RR batch, and plugin/transfer/transfer.go indexes records[0] without checking the batch is non-empty. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.5.
find-my-way is a framework-independent HTTP router that internally uses a Radix Tree and supports route parameters and wildcards. Versions prior to 9.7.0 are vulnerable to remotely triggerable DoS in find-my-way when it is used with Node's HTTP/2 server. The lookup() function passes req.method into find(), and find() indexes this.trees[method]. Since this.trees is a normal object, HTTP/2 method values like constructor, toString, or __proto__ can resolve inherited object properties instead of returning undefined. The code then treats that value like a router node and crashes when it reaches currentNode.prefix.length. This issue has been fixed in version 9.0.7.
@fastify/middie versions 9.1.0 through 9.3.2 fail to guard the URL normalization step used by the standalone engine when incoming request paths contain malformed percent-encoded sequences. Inputs such as an incomplete percent escape or a truncated multibyte sequence cause the underlying decoder to throw synchronously, and the exception escapes the middie normalize step and terminates the Node.js process. The bypass affects applications that call middie.run directly on the standalone engine API, causing an immediate denial of service for all connected clients until restart. Applications using the Fastify plugin path are not affected because Fastifys error handler catches the exception. Patches: upgrade to @fastify/middie 9.3.3. Workarounds: migrate from the standalone engine API to the Fastify plugin path, where the framework error handler catches the exception.
webpack-dev-server versions 5.2.5 and earlier terminate the whole Node.js process when an unauthenticated peer sends either a normal HTTP request with a malformed Host header or a WebSocket upgrade to the default /ws endpoint with a malformed Origin header. The malformed value causes an uncaught exception in the host-validation path and crashes the dev server. Impact is limited to availability of the development server, no data disclosure, no code execution. Patches: upgrade to webpack-dev-server 5.2.6. Workarounds: keep the dev server bound to localhost (the default) and do not expose it to untrusted networks.
SurrealDB versions before 2.2.2 contain an uncaught exception vulnerability in the net module that allows authenticated users to crash the database. Attackers can send crafted HTTP queries containing null bytes to the /sql endpoint, causing an unhandled exception that crashes the SurrealDB instance and any dependent applications.
SurrealDB versions before 1.1.1 fail to properly validate invocation of custom parameters and functions at root or namespace levels, causing server panic. Authorized clients can invoke these entities at unsupported levels to crash the SurrealDB server, resulting in denial of service.
SurrealDB versions before 1.1.0 fail to properly parse the ID, DB, and NS headers in HTTP REST API requests containing special characters. Unauthenticated attackers can send crafted HTTP requests with malformed header values to trigger an uncaught exception that crashes the server.
SurrealDB versions before 1.2.0 contain an uncaught exception vulnerability in the query executor when processing calls to nonexistent built-in functions. Authorized clients can craft pre-parsed queries invoking nonexistent functions to trigger a panic that crashes the server.
SurrealDB versions before 1.2.1 contain an uncaught exception handling vulnerability in span rendering when parsing queries with errors on line terminator characters. Authorized clients can submit malformed queries that trigger a panic in the span rendering code, crashing the server and causing denial of service.
SurrealDB versions before 2.0.4 contain an uncaught exception handling vulnerability in the parser error rendering code when processing empty strings. Authorized clients can execute malformed queries with empty string conversions to record, duration, or datetime types that cause a panic in error rendering, crashing the server.
SurrealDB versions before 2.1.0 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the sorting mechanism when using ORDER BY rand() clause. Authorized clients can execute queries with ORDER BY rand() to trigger a panic in the sorting function, crashing the server.
