CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: ufs: core: Validate connected lane counts
The connected lane count is used by TX equalization code to index arrays
sized by UFS_MAX_LANES. Reject zero and out-of-range RX or TX lane counts
before they can be propagated. |
| Hamlib is a ham radio control library for radios, rotators, and amplifiers. Prior to 4.7.2, the unauthenticated rigctld send_raw command on TCP port 4532 reaches rigctl_send_raw() in tests/rigctl_parse.c, which writes a NUL byte at buf[buf_len + 1] outside its 200-byte stack buffer, and rig_send_raw() in src/rig.c, which copies reply_len - 1 bytes instead of the actual nbytes received. A remote client can send the CR terminator with a short payload to trigger both flaws in one command under the default no-password configuration. The out-of-bounds write can crash the daemon or corrupt adjacent stack memory, while the oversized copy can return up to 198 bytes of uninitialized stack data to the client. This issue is fixed in version 4.7.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: fix kmap_local_page() usage in compress
Several compressed I/O paths discard the address returned by
kmap_local_page() and later access or unmap the page using page_address().
This is invalid for highmem pages, and local mappings must also be unmapped
using the address returned by kmap_local_page().
Map each destination page in ntfs_decompress() only while producing the
current sub-block. Use memcpy_from_page(), memcpy_to_page(), and
memzero_page() for the other page accesses. Remove unnecessary local
mappings from ntfs_write_cb(), where pages are accessed through the vmap()
mapping. |
| OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.20.0, 3.1.15.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A crafted cineon file can supply a numberofelements value greater than the format maximum of eight. cineoninput::open() uses that unchecked value as the loop bound while filling the fixed strings[8] array, writing pointers beyond the stack buffer and into adjacent state, resulting in memory corruption and denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/cineon.imageio/cineoninput.cpp, CineonInput::open(), numberOfElements, and strings[8], which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.20.0, 3.1.15.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1. |
| SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. In 0.9.10 and earlier, psd_private_sail_pixel_format() in src/sail-codecs/psd/helpers.c resolves a one-channel PSD in Bitmap color mode to SAIL_PIXEL_FORMAT_BPP1_INDEXED without requiring the file depth to be one, so the pixel buffer uses one-bit rows while sail_codec_load_frame_v8_psd() in src/sail-codecs/psd/psd.c accepts depth == 8 and writes one attacker-controlled byte per pixel. Loading a crafted PSD through sail_load_from_file() or sail_load_from_memory() therefore writes beyond each heap row, causing memory corruption, a reliable crash, or potential code execution. This mode/depth mismatch is distinct from GHSA-rcqx-gc76-r9mv and GHSA-wcj8-hxxf-pq2c. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0. |
| snappy-java through 1.1.10.8 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in Snappy.compress(ByteBuffer, ByteBuffer) that writes past the end of the destination buffer. Attackers can supply incompressible data that exceeds the destination buffer's remaining capacity, corrupting off-heap memory and causing JVM termination. |
| NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_v3_module module. When using HTTP/3 with OpenSSL versions <= OpenSSL 3.5.0 under certain configurations, a limited heap buffer overflow could happen while processing a TLS handshake. This can happen in a non-deterministic manner that is beyond the attacker's control. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart and/or limited data corruption.
Impact:
This vulnerability may allow remote attackers to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) on the NGINX system or limited data corruption. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the TLS transport layer of the MongoDB C Driver when built with the Windows platform TLS backend. A remote endpoint that the client connects to can cause the driver to write uncontrolled data outside the bounds of a heap allocation while processing incoming encrypted traffic after the TLS handshake completes. No authentication or user interaction is required, because the affected processing occurs before any application-level authentication completes. Triggering this issue may lead to memory corruption in the client process, disclosure of adjacent heap memory, or termination of the process. |
| VLC media player versions 3.0.0 through 3.0.23 contain a memory-safety vulnerability reachable when processing crafted media. Exploitation requires user interaction and may result in application termination or code execution with the privileges of the VLC process. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27. Mounting a maliciously crafted exFAT volume may cause unexpected system termination or kernel memory disclosure. |
| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 1.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2, HandleSecureMessage() in src/remoted/secure.c passes a pointer inside its stack buffer to ReadSecMSG(), and src/os_crypto/shared/msgs.c decompresses up to OS_MAXSTR bytes at that offset. For an encrypted agent message on TCP port 1514 that expands to 65,536 bytes, os_zlib_uncompress() writes a terminating null byte beyond the end of the destination buffer. The resulting stack out-of-bounds write in the root-level remoted daemon can crash message processing and disrupt agent communications. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2. |
| Illustrator is affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: io_ti: fix heap overflow in get_manuf_info()
get_manuf_info() reads le16_to_cpu(rom_desc->Size) bytes from the
device I2C EEPROM into a buffer allocated with kmalloc_obj(), which
is sizeof(struct edge_ti_manuf_descriptor) = 10 bytes.
The Size field comes from the device and is only validated (in
check_i2c_image()) to make sure the descriptor fits within
TI_MAX_I2C_SIZE (16384 bytes), not against the destination buffer size.
A malicious USB device can therefore set Size to any value up to 16377,
causing a heap overflow of up to 16367 bytes when plugged into a host
running this driver.
valid_csum() is called after read_rom() and also iterates
buffer[0..Size-1], compounding the out-of-bounds access.
Fix by rejecting descriptors with unexpected length before calling
read_rom().

| Out of bounds write in ServiceWorker in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.47 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. In 0.9.10 and earlier, the TGA_INDEXED_RLE path selected by image_type == 9 allocates an image buffer using the one-byte-per-pixel SAIL_PIXEL_FORMAT_BPP8_INDEXED format returned by tga_private_sail_pixel_format() in src/sail-codecs/tga/helpers.c, while sail_codec_load_frame_v8_tga() in src/sail-codecs/tga/tga.c derives a two-to-four-byte pixel_size from an attacker-controlled header bpp value from 9 through 32. Loading a crafted color-mapped run-length-encoded TGA through sail_load_from_file() or sail_load_from_memory() therefore writes attacker-controlled bytes beyond the heap pixel buffer. The pixel-count clamp added for CVE-2026-40494 does not constrain the per-pixel write width, so this issue is an incomplete fix of that vulnerability and can cause heap corruption, a reliable crash, or potential code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in some of the Ethernet switches because of improper validation of the username field length during Web login processing. This may allow a remote attacker to submit a specially crafted overly long input, triggering a buffer overflow that can cause the authentication process to crash and result in a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix to migrate all curseg types during free_segment_range
In free_segment_range(), the curseg evacuation loop only iterates up to
NR_CURSEG_PERSIST_TYPE (0..5), missing non-persistent in-memory curseg
types such as CURSEG_COLD_DATA_PINNED and CURSEG_ALL_DATA_ATGC.
Even though these in-memory curseg types are not saved in the on-disk
checkpoint header, they still occupy active physical segments at runtime.
If an active in-memory curseg happens to be allocated within the segment
range being truncated during filesystem shrink, failing to evacuate it
will cause subsequent writes to the curseg attempting out-of-bounds I/O
on the truncated storage range.
Fix this by expanding the curseg evacuation loop upper bound to
NR_CURSEG_TYPE to ensure all active curseg types are safely migrated
out of the target range. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: v4l2-ctrls: validate HEVC EXT SPS RPS counts
The HEVC SPS control carries the short-term and long-term RPS counts
that decoder drivers use to walk the matching EXT SPS dynamic arrays.
Reject SPS values that exceed the HEVC limits of 64 short-term sets and
32 long-term references so drivers cannot later index beyond those
controls.
Also reject EXT SPS ST RPS entries whose negative or positive picture
counts exceed the 16-entry arrays, or whose combined delta-POC count
exceeds the HEVC DPB maximum. |
| A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in the GStreamer gst-plugins-bad adpcmdec element when decoding IMA/DVI ADPCM audio. Insufficient validation of the per-block sample count for multi-channel streams allows a crafted WAV file to cause writes beyond the allocated output buffer. This can lead to application crash, denial of service, memory corruption, or potentially arbitrary code execution when untrusted media is processed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
LoongArch: BPF: Move arena register slot below TCC context
Currently, the stack layout places the optional arena register slot
above the tail call counter context. When arena_vm_start is dynamically
enabled, it shifts the relative offset of the tcc_ptr slot within the
stack frame, causing hardcoded tracking macros to mismatch and leading
to memory misalignment or corruption potentially.
To fix this, move the arena register save and restore sequences below
the tail call counter context slots in both build_prologue() and the
epilogue.
Update __build_epilogue() to insert a proper offset decrement to safely
skip the unneeded tcc_ptr reading block while accurately aligning with
the relocated arena slot at the very bottom.
With this patch, the tcc_ptr slot is always positioned at a fixed
distance directly underneath the base callee-saved registers that is
independent of whether the arena features are on. |
