CVSS v3.1 |
| Null pointer dereference in the firmware for some Intel(R) AMT and Intel(R) Standard Manageability within Ring 0: Kernel may allow a denial of service. Network adversary with an unauthenticated user combined with a high complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via network access when attack requirements are present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. |
| A vulnerability in the DHCP version 4 (DHCPv4) server feature of Cisco IOS XR Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a crash of the dhcpd process, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability exists because certain DHCPv4 messages are improperly validated when they are processed by an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malformed DHCPv4 message to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a crash of the dhcpd process. While the dhcpd process is restarting, which may take approximately two minutes, DHCPv4 server services are unavailable on the affected device. This could temporarily prevent network access to clients that join the network during that time period and rely on the DHCPv4 server of the affected device.
Notes:
Only the dhcpd process crashes and eventually restarts automatically. The router does not reload.
This vulnerability only applies to DHCPv4. DHCP version 6 (DHCPv6) is not affected. |
| Team ENVY, a Security Research TEAM has found a flaw that allows for a remote code execution on the NVR. If an attacker does not enter any value for a specific URL parameter, NULL pointer references will occur and the NVR will reboot. The manufacturer has released patch firmware for the flaw, please refer to the manufacturer's report for details and workarounds. |
| An attacker who successfully exploited these vulnerabilities could cause the robot to stop.
A vulnerability exists in the PROFINET stack included in the RobotWare versions listed below.
This vulnerability arises under specific condition when specially crafted message is processed by the system.
Below are reported vulnerabilities in the Robot Ware versions.
* IRC5- RobotWare 6 < 6.15.06 except 6.10.10, and 6.13.07 |
| A NULL Pointer Dereference discovered in DumpTS v0.1.0-nightly allows attackers to cause a denial of service via the function DumpOneStream() at /src/DumpStream.cpp. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: core: prevent NULL deref in generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower()
The ethtool tsconfig Netlink path can trigger a null pointer
dereference. A call chain such as:
tsconfig_prepare_data() ->
dev_get_hwtstamp_phylib() ->
vlan_hwtstamp_get() ->
generic_hwtstamp_get_lower() ->
generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower()
results in generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower() being called with
kernel_cfg->ifr as NULL.
The generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower() function does not expect
a NULL ifr and dereferences it, leading to a system crash.
Fix this by adding a NULL check for kernel_cfg->ifr in
generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower(). If ifr is NULL, return -EINVAL. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC CP 1242-7 V2 (incl. SIPLUS variants) (All versions < V3.5.20), SIMATIC CP 1243-1 (incl. SIPLUS variants) (All versions < V3.5.20), SIMATIC CP 1243-1 DNP3 (incl. SIPLUS variants) (All versions < V3.5.20), SIMATIC CP 1243-1 IEC (incl. SIPLUS variants) (All versions < V3.5.20), SIMATIC CP 1243-7 LTE (All versions < V3.5.20), SIMATIC CP 1243-8 IRC (6GK7243-8RX30-0XE0) (All versions < V3.5.20), SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panels (incl. SIPLUS variants) (All versions), SIMATIC IPC DiagBase (All versions), SIMATIC IPC DiagMonitor (All versions), SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Advanced (All versions), SIPLUS TIM 1531 IRC (6AG1543-1MX00-7XE0) (All versions < V2.4.8), TIM 1531 IRC (6GK7543-1MX00-0XE0) (All versions < V2.4.8). The web server of the affected devices do not properly handle the shutdown or reboot request, which could lead to the clean up of certain resources.
This could allow a remote attacker with elevated privileges to cause a denial of service condition in the system. |
| NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in a kernel module, where an attacker might be able to trigger a null pointer deference. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| OpenFHE through 1.2.3 has a NULL pointer dereference in BinFHEContext::EvalFloor in lib/binfhe-base-scheme.cpp. |
| Qt 6 through 6.6 was discovered to contain a NULL pointer dereference via the function QXcbConnection::initializeAllAtoms(). NOTE: this is disputed because it is not expected that an X application should continue to run when there is arbitrary anomalous behavior from the X server. |
| libglxproto.c in OpenGL libglvnd bb06db5a was discovered to contain a segmentation violation via the function glXGetDrawableScreen(). NOTE: this is disputed because there are no common situations in which users require uninterrupted operation with an attacker-controller server. |
| PAM-PKCS#11 is a Linux-PAM login module that allows a X.509 certificate based user login. In versions 0.6.12 and prior, the pam_pkcs11 module segfaults when a user presses ctrl-c/ctrl-d when they are asked for a PIN. When a user enters no PIN at all, `pam_get_pwd` will never initialize the password buffer pointer and as such `cleanse` will try to dereference an uninitialized pointer. On my system this pointer happens to have the value 3 most of the time when running sudo and as such it will segfault. The most likely impact to a system affected by this issue is an availability impact due to a daemon that uses PAM crashing. As of time of publication, a patch for the issue is unavailable. |
| Time4J Base v5.9.3 was discovered to contain a NullPointerException via the component net.time4j.format.internal.FormatUtils::useDefaultWeekmodel(Locale). NOTE: this is disputed by multiple third parties who believe there was not reasonable evidence to determine the existence of a vulnerability. The submission may have been based on a tool that is not sufficiently robust for vulnerability identification. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the component libPdfCore.dll of Wondershare PDF Reader v1.0.9.2544 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted PDF file. |
| NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel driver, where a user could cause a null pointer dereference by allocating a specific memory resource. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| An attacker can publish a zone containing specific Resource Record Sets. Processing and caching results for these sets can lead to an illegal memory accesses and crash of the Recursor, causing a denial of service.
The remedy is: upgrade to the patched 5.2.1 version.
We would like to thank Volodymyr Ilyin for bringing this issue to our attention. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the ngap_app::handle_receive routine of OpenAirInterface CN5G AMF (oai-cn5g-amf) up to v2.0.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted NGAP message. |
| Sante PACS Server HTTP Content-Length Header Handling NULL Pointer Dereference Denial-of-Service Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of Sante PACS Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of HTTP Content-Length header. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a pointer prior to accessing it. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system. Was ZDI-CAN-26770. |
| A vulnerability was found in Artifex GhostPDL up to 3989415a5b8e99b9d1b87cc9902bde9b7cdea145. It has been classified as problematic. This affects the function pdf_ferror of the file devices/vector/gdevpdf.c of the component New Output File Open Error Handler. The manipulation leads to null pointer dereference. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The identifier of the patch is 619a106ba4c4abed95110f84d5efcd7aee38c7cb. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. |
| An unauthenticated attacker can perform a null pointer dereference in the DHIP Service (UDP port 37810). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111. |
