CVSS v3.1 |
During a routine security analysis, it was found that one of the ports in Apache Impala (incubating) 2.7.0 to 2.8.0 sent data in plaintext even when the cluster was configured to use TLS. The port in question was used by the StatestoreSubscriber class which did not use the appropriate secure Thrift transport when TLS was turned on. It was therefore possible for an adversary, with access to the network, to eavesdrop on the packets going to and coming from that port and view the data in plaintext.
Foreman after 1.1 and before 1.9.0-RC1 does not redirect HTTP requests to HTTPS when the require_ssl setting is set to true, which allows remote attackers to obtain user credentials via a man-in-the-middle attack.
The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. App for Android ver5.3.1, ver5.2.2 and earlier allow a man-in-the-middle attacker to downgrade the communication between the app and the server from TLS v1.2 to SSL v3.0, which may result in the attacker to eavesdrop on an encrypted communication.
An Information Exposure issue was discovered in ProMinent MultiFLEX M10a Controller web interface. When an authenticated user uses the Change Password feature on the application, the current password for the user is specified in plaintext. This may allow an attacker who has been authenticated to gain access to the password.
An issue was discovered on BLU R1 HD devices with Shanghai Adups software. The content provider named com.adups.fota.sysoper.provider.InfoProvider in the app with a package name of com.adups.fota.sysoper allows any app on the device to read, write, and delete files as the system user. In the com.adups.fota.sysoper app's AndroidManifest.xml file, it sets the android:sharedUserId attribute to a value of android.uid.system which makes it execute as the system user, which is a very privileged user on the device. This allows a third-party app to read, write, and delete files owned by the system user. The third-party app can modify the /data/system/users/0/settings_secure.xml file to add an app as a notification listener to be able to receive the text of notifications as they are received on the device. This also allows the /data/system/users/0/accounts.db to be read which contains authentication tokens for various accounts on the device. The third-party app can obtain privileged information and also modify files to obtain more privileges on the device.
IBM Integration Bus 9.0 and 10.0 transmits user credentials in plain in clear text which can be read by an attacker using man in the middle techniques. IBM X-Force ID: 134165.
Encryption key exposure in firmware in iSmartAlarm CubeOne version 2.2.4.8 and earlier allows attackers to decrypt log files via an exposed key.
IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Server 11.0 - 11.6 stores user credentials in plain in clear text which can be read by a local user. IBM X-Force ID: 125463.
The auto-update feature of Open Embedded Linux Entertainment Center (OpenELEC) 6.0.3, 7.0.1, and 8.0.4 uses neither encrypted connections nor signed updates. A man-in-the-middle attacker could manipulate the update packages to gain root access remotely.
An issue was discovered on Dahua DHI-HCVR7216A-S3 3.210.0001.10 build 2016-06-06 devices. The Dahua DVR Protocol, which operates on TCP Port 37777, is an unencrypted, binary protocol. Performing a Man-in-the-Middle attack allows both sniffing and injections of packets, which allows creation of fully privileged new users, in addition to capture of sensitive information.
kpac/script.cpp in KDE kio before 5.32 and kdelibs before 4.14.30 calls the PAC FindProxyForURL function with a full https URL (potentially including Basic Authentication credentials, a query string, or PATH_INFO), which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a crafted PAC file.
Jaspersoft JasperReports 4.7 suffers from a saved credential disclosure vulnerability, which allows a remote authenticated user to retrieve stored Data Source passwords by accessing flow.html and reading the HTML source code of the page reached in an Edit action for a Data Source connector.
SuperBeam through 4.1.3, when using the LAN or WiFi Direct Share feature, does not use HTTPS or any integrity-protection mechanism for file transfer, which makes it easier for remote attackers to send crafted files, as demonstrated by APK injection.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3 is affected. The issue involves the "iTunes Store" component. It allows man-in-the-middle attackers to modify the client-server data stream to iTunes sandbox web services by leveraging use of cleartext HTTP.
A vulnerability in the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Decryption and Inspection feature of Cisco Firepower System Software 5.4.0, 5.4.1, 6.0.0, 6.1.0, 6.2.0, 6.2.1, and 6.2.2 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass the SSL policy for decrypting and inspecting traffic on an affected system. The vulnerability is due to unexpected interaction with Known Key and Decrypt and Resign configuration settings of SSL policies when the affected software receives unexpected SSL packet headers. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted SSL packet through an affected device in a valid SSL session. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass the SSL decryption and inspection policy for the affected system, which could allow traffic to flow through the system without being inspected. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCve12652.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. The Apple Support app before 1.2 for iOS is affected. The issue involves the "Analytics" component. It allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive analytics information by leveraging its presence in a cleartext HTTP transmission to an Adobe Marketing Cloud server operated for Apple, as demonstrated by information about the installation date and time.
s2k.js in OpenPGP.js will decrypt arbitrary messages regardless of passphrase for crafted PGP keys which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication if message decryption is used as an authentication mechanism via a crafted symmetrically encrypted PGP message.
CodeIgniter before 3.0 and Kohana 3.2.3 and earlier and 3.3.x through 3.3.2 make it easier for remote attackers to spoof session cookies and consequently conduct PHP object injection attacks by leveraging use of standard string comparison operators to compare cryptographic hashes.
In the "NQ Contacts Backup & Restore" application 1.1 for Android, no HTTPS is used for transmitting login and synced user data. When logging in, the username is transmitted in cleartext along with an SHA-1 hash of the password. The attacker can either crack this hash or use it for further attacks where only the hash value is required.
Wireless IP Camera (P2P) WIFICAM devices rely on a cleartext UDP tunnel protocol (aka the Cloud feature) for communication between an Android application and a camera device, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information by sniffing the network.
