CVE-2025-40036 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: fastrpc: fix possible map leak in fastrpc_put_args copy_to_user() failure would cause an early return without cleaning up the fdlist, which has been updated by the DSP. This could lead to map leak. Fix this by redirecting to a cleanup path on failure, ensuring that all mapped buffers are properly released before returning.
CVE-2023-54084 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: firewire-digi00x: prevent potential use after free This code was supposed to return an error code if init_stream() failed, but it instead freed dg00x->rx_stream and returned success. This potentially leads to a use after free.
CVE-2023-54172 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/hyperv: Disable IBT when hypercall page lacks ENDBR instruction On hardware that supports Indirect Branch Tracking (IBT), Hyper-V VMs with ConfigVersion 9.3 or later support IBT in the guest. However, current versions of Hyper-V have a bug in that there's not an ENDBR64 instruction at the beginning of the hypercall page. Since hypercalls are made with an indirect call to the hypercall page, all hypercall attempts fail with an exception and Linux panics. A Hyper-V fix is in progress to add ENDBR64. But guard against the Linux panic by clearing X86_FEATURE_IBT if the hypercall page doesn't start with ENDBR. The VM will boot and run without IBT. If future Linux 32-bit kernels were to support IBT, additional hypercall page hackery would be needed to make IBT work for such kernels in a Hyper-V VM.
CVE-2025-24484 2 Intel, Linux 2 Ethernet 800 Series Software, Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.8 High
Improper input validation in the Linux kernel-mode driver for some Intel(R) 800 Series Ethernet before version 1.17.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
CVE-2025-40085 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix NULL pointer deference in try_to_register_card In try_to_register_card(), the return value of usb_ifnum_to_if() is passed directly to usb_interface_claimed() without a NULL check, which will lead to a NULL pointer dereference when creating an invalid USB audio device. Fix this by adding a check to ensure the interface pointer is valid before passing it to usb_interface_claimed().
CVE-2025-68169 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netpoll: Fix deadlock in memory allocation under spinlock Fix a AA deadlock in refill_skbs() where memory allocation while holding skb_pool->lock can trigger a recursive lock acquisition attempt. The deadlock scenario occurs when the system is under severe memory pressure: 1. refill_skbs() acquires skb_pool->lock (spinlock) 2. alloc_skb() is called while holding the lock 3. Memory allocator fails and calls slab_out_of_memory() 4. This triggers printk() for the OOM warning 5. The console output path calls netpoll_send_udp() 6. netpoll_send_udp() attempts to acquire the same skb_pool->lock 7. Deadlock: the lock is already held by the same CPU Call stack: refill_skbs() spin_lock_irqsave(&skb_pool->lock) <- lock acquired __alloc_skb() kmem_cache_alloc_node_noprof() slab_out_of_memory() printk() console_flush_all() netpoll_send_udp() skb_dequeue() spin_lock_irqsave(&skb_pool->lock) <- deadlock attempt This bug was exposed by commit 248f6571fd4c51 ("netpoll: Optimize skb refilling on critical path") which removed refill_skbs() from the critical path (where nested printk was being deferred), letting nested printk being called from inside refill_skbs() Refactor refill_skbs() to never allocate memory while holding the spinlock. Another possible solution to fix this problem is protecting the refill_skbs() from nested printks, basically calling printk_deferred_{enter,exit}() in refill_skbs(), then, any nested pr_warn() would be deferred. I prefer this approach, given I _think_ it might be a good idea to move the alloc_skb() from GFP_ATOMIC to GFP_KERNEL in the future, so, having the alloc_skb() outside of the lock will be necessary step. There is a possible TOCTOU issue when checking for the pool length, and queueing the new allocated skb, but, this is not an issue, given that an extra SKB in the pool is harmless and it will be eventually used.
CVE-2025-68773 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: fsl-cpm: Check length parity before switching to 16 bit mode Commit fc96ec826bce ("spi: fsl-cpm: Use 16 bit mode for large transfers with even size") failed to make sure that the size is really even before switching to 16 bit mode. Until recently the problem went unnoticed because kernfs uses a pre-allocated bounce buffer of size PAGE_SIZE for reading EEPROM. But commit 8ad6249c51d0 ("eeprom: at25: convert to spi-mem API") introduced an additional dynamically allocated bounce buffer whose size is exactly the size of the transfer, leading to a buffer overrun in the fsl-cpm driver when that size is odd. Add the missing length parity verification and remain in 8 bit mode when the length is not even.
CVE-2023-54021 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: set goal start correctly in ext4_mb_normalize_request We need to set ac_g_ex to notify the goal start used in ext4_mb_find_by_goal. Set ac_g_ex instead of ac_f_ex in ext4_mb_normalize_request. Besides we should assure goal start is in range [first_data_block, blocks_count) as ext4_mb_initialize_context does. [ Added a check to make sure size is less than ar->pright; otherwise we could end up passing an underflowed value of ar->pright - size to ext4_get_group_no_and_offset(), which will trigger a BUG_ON later on. - TYT ]
CVE-2022-50637 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: qcom-hw: Fix memory leak in qcom_cpufreq_hw_read_lut() If "cpu_dev" fails to get opp table in qcom_cpufreq_hw_read_lut(), the program will return, resulting in "table" resource is not released.
CVE-2023-54175 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: xiic: xiic_xfer(): Fix runtime PM leak on error path The xiic_xfer() function gets a runtime PM reference when the function is entered. This reference is released when the function is exited. There is currently one error path where the function exits directly, which leads to a leak of the runtime PM reference. Make sure that this error path also releases the runtime PM reference.
CVE-2022-50754 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: fix a memleak in multi_transaction_new() In multi_transaction_new(), the variable t is not freed or passed out on the failure of copy_from_user(t->data, buf, size), which could lead to a memleak. Fix this bug by adding a put_multi_transaction(t) in the error path.

However, inode<5> contain incorrect imode and disordered extents, and i_nlink is set to 1. The extents check for inode in the ext4_iget function can be bypassed bacause 5 is EXT4_BOOT_LOADER_INO. While links_count is set to 1, the extents are not initialized in swap_inode_boot_loader. After the ioctl command is executed successfully, the extents are swapped to inode<12>, in this case, run the `cat` command to view inode<12>. And Bug_ON is triggered due to the incorrect extents. When the boot loader inode is not initialized, its imode can be one of the following: 1) the imode is a bad type, which is marked as bad_inode in ext4_iget and set to S_IFREG. 2) the imode is good type but not S_IFREG. 3) the imode is S_IFREG. The BUG_ON may be triggered by bypassing the check in cases 1 and 2. Therefore, when the boot loader inode is bad_inode or its imode is not S_IFREG, initialize the inode to avoid triggering the BUG.
CVE-2023-54181 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix issue in verifying allow_ptr_leaks After we converted the capabilities of our networking-bpf program from cap_sys_admin to cap_net_admin+cap_bpf, our networking-bpf program failed to start. Because it failed the bpf verifier, and the error log is "R3 pointer comparison prohibited". A simple reproducer as follows, SEC("cls-ingress") int ingress(struct __sk_buff *skb) { struct iphdr *iph = (void *)(long)skb->data + sizeof(struct ethhdr); if ((long)(iph + 1) > (long)skb->data_end) return TC_ACT_STOLEN; return TC_ACT_OK; } Per discussion with Yonghong and Alexei [1], comparison of two packet pointers is not a pointer leak. This patch fixes it. Our local kernel is 6.1.y and we expect this fix to be backported to 6.1.y, so stable is CCed. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix to avoid migrating empty section It reports a bug from device w/ zufs: F2FS-fs (dm-64): Inconsistent segment (173822) type [1, 0] in SSA and SIT F2FS-fs (dm-64): Stopped filesystem due to reason: 4 Thread A Thread B - f2fs_expand_inode_data - f2fs_allocate_pinning_section - f2fs_gc_range - do_garbage_collect w/ segno #x - writepage - f2fs_allocate_data_block - new_curseg - allocate segno #x The root cause is: fallocate on pinning file may race w/ block allocation as above, result in do_garbage_collect() from fallocate() may migrate segment which is just allocated by a log, the log will update segment type in its in-memory structure, however GC will get segment type from on-disk SSA block, once segment type changes by log, we can detect such inconsistency, then shutdown filesystem. In this case, on-disk SSA shows type of segno #173822 is 1 (SUM_TYPE_NODE), however segno #173822 was just allocated as data type segment, so in-memory SIT shows type of segno #173822 is 0 (SUM_TYPE_DATA). Change as below to fix this issue: - check whether current section is empty before gc - add sanity checks on do_garbage_collect() to avoid any race case, result in migrating segment used by log. - btw, it fixes misc issue in printed logs: "SSA and SIT" -> "SIT and SSA".
CVE-2022-50771 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rcu: Fix __this_cpu_read() lockdep warning in rcu_force_quiescent_state() Running rcutorture with non-zero fqs_duration module parameter in a kernel built with CONFIG_PREEMPTION=y results in the following splat: BUG: using __this_cpu_read() in preemptible [00000000] code: rcu_torture_fqs/398 caller is __this_cpu_preempt_check+0x13/0x20 CPU: 3 PID: 398 Comm: rcu_torture_fqs Not tainted 6.0.0-rc1-yoctodev-standard+ Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x5b/0x86 dump_stack+0x10/0x16 check_preemption_disabled+0xe5/0xf0 __this_cpu_preempt_check+0x13/0x20 rcu_force_quiescent_state.part.0+0x1c/0x170 rcu_force_quiescent_state+0x1e/0x30 rcu_torture_fqs+0xca/0x160 ? rcu_torture_boost+0x430/0x430 kthread+0x192/0x1d0 ? kthread_complete_and_exit+0x30/0x30 ret_from_fork+0x22/0x30 </TASK> The problem is that rcu_force_quiescent_state() uses __this_cpu_read() in preemptible code instead of the proper raw_cpu_read(). This commit therefore changes __this_cpu_read() to raw_cpu_read().
