CVSS v3.1 |
| mshtml.dll 6.00.2900.2873, as used in Microsoft Internet Explorer, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via nested OBJECT tags, which trigger invalid pointer dereferences including NULL dereferences. NOTE: the possibility of code execution was originally theorized, but Microsoft has stated that this issue is non-exploitable. |
| Internet Explorer 5.01 SP4 up to 6 on various Windows operating systems, including IE 6.0.2900.2180 on Windows XP, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a web page with embedded CLSIDs that reference certain COM objects that are not ActiveX controls, as demonstrated using the JVIEW Profiler (Javaprxy.dll). NOTE: the researcher says that the vendor could not reproduce this problem. |
| The (1) ZD_MissingPlayer, (2) ZD_UseItem, and (3) ZD_LoadNewClientLevel functions in sv_main.cpp for (a) Zdaemon 1.08.01 and (b) X-Doom allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via an invalid player slot or item number, which causes an invalid memory access, possibly due to an invalid array index. |
| The DM Primer (dmprimer.exe) in the DM Deployment Common Component in Computer Associates (CA) BrightStor Mobile Backup r4.0, BrightStor ARCserve Backup for Laptops & Desktops r11.0, r11.1, r11.1 SP1, Unicenter Remote Control 6.0, 6.0 SP1, CA Desktop Protection Suite r2, CA Server Protection Suite r2, and CA Business Protection Suite r2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption or application hang) via a large network packet, which causes a WSAEMESGSIZE error code that is not handled, leading to a thread exit. |
| The Linux kernel 2.6.17.10 and 2.6.17.11 and 2.6.18-rc5 allows local users to cause a denial of service (crash) via an SCTP socket with a certain SO_LINGER value, possibly related to the patch for CVE-2006-3745. NOTE: older kernel versions for specific Linux distributions are also affected, due to backporting of the CVE-2006-3745 patch. |
| The ftdi_sio driver (usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c) in Linux kernel 2.6.x up to 2.6.17, and possibly later versions, allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by writing more data to the serial port than the hardware can handle, which causes the data to be queued. |
| Nessus before 2.2.8, and 3.x before 3.0.3, allows user-assisted attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a NASL script that calls split with an invalid sep parameter. NOTE: a design goal of the NASL language is to facilitate sharing of security tests by guaranteeing that a script "can not do anything nasty." This issue is appropriate for CVE only if Nessus users have an expectation that a split statement will not use excessive memory. |
| Multiple vulnerabilities in the Login Enhancements (Login Block) feature of Cisco IOS Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a reload of an affected system, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. These vulnerabilities affect Cisco devices that are running Cisco IOS Software Release 15.4(2)T, 15.4(3)M, or 15.4(2)CG and later. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCuy32360, CSCuz60599. |
| A vulnerability in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco IOS Software running on certain models of Cisco Catalyst Switches could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition, aka a GET MIB Object ID Denial of Service Vulnerability. The vulnerability is due to a condition that could occur when the affected software processes an SNMP read request that contains a request for the ciscoFlashMIB object ID (OID). An attacker could trigger this vulnerability by issuing an SNMP GET request for the ciscoFlashMIB OID on an affected device. A successful exploit could cause the affected device to restart due to a SYS-3-CPUHOG. This vulnerability affects the following Cisco devices if they are running a vulnerable release of Cisco IOS Software and are configured to use SNMP Version 2 (SNMPv2) or SNMP Version 3 (SNMPv3): Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches, Cisco Catalyst Digital Building Series Switches 8P, Cisco Catalyst Digital Building Series Switches 8U. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd89541. |
| A vulnerability in the Smart Install feature of Cisco IOS Software and Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a reload of an affected device, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to improper validation of packet data. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted packet to an affected device on TCP port 4786. Only Smart Install client switches are affected. Cisco devices that are configured as a Smart Install director are not affected by this vulnerability. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd40673. |
| A vulnerability in the crypto engine of the Cisco Integrated Services Module for VPN (ISM-VPN) running Cisco IOS Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient handling of VPN traffic by the affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted VPN traffic to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to hang or crash, resulting in a DoS condition. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd39267. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm rq: don't queue request to blk-mq during DM suspend
DM uses blk-mq's quiesce/unquiesce to stop/start device mapper queue.
But blk-mq's unquiesce may come from outside events, such as elevator
switch, updating nr_requests or others, and request may come during
suspend, so simply ask for blk-mq to requeue it.
Fixes one kernel panic issue when running updating nr_requests and
dm-mpath suspend/resume stress test. |
| The recv_and_process_client_pkt function in networking/ntpd.c in busybox allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU and bandwidth consumption) via a forged NTP packet, which triggers a communication loop. |
| The Inter-process Communication (IPC) implementation in Google Chrome before 18.0.1025.168, as used in Mozilla Firefox before 38.0 and other products, does not properly validate messages, which has unspecified impact and attack vectors. |
| GE Multilink ML800, ML1200, ML1600, and ML2400 switches with firmware 4.2.1 and earlier and Multilink ML810, ML3000, and ML3100 switches with firmware 5.2.0 and earlier allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource consumption or reboot) via crafted packets. |
| The DNP3 feature on Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1400 1766-Lxxxxx A FRN controllers 7 and earlier and 1400 1766-Lxxxxx B FRN controllers before 15.001 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process disruption) via malformed packets over (1) an Ethernet network or (2) a serial line. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
irqchip/imx-irqsteer: Handle runtime power management correctly
The power domain is automatically activated from clk_prepare(). However, on
certain platforms like i.MX8QM and i.MX8QXP, the power-on handling invokes
sleeping functions, which triggers the 'scheduling while atomic' bug in the
context switch path during device probing:
BUG: scheduling while atomic: kworker/u13:1/48/0x00000002

Cure this by implementing the irq_bus_lock/sync_unlock() interrupt chip
callbacks and handle power management in them as they are invoked from
non-atomic context.

| The glob implementation in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (CPU and memory consumption) via crafted glob expressions that do not match any pathnames, as demonstrated by glob expressions in STAT commands to an FTP daemon, a different vulnerability than CVE-2010-2632. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mfd: intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc: Use IRQ domain for PMIC devices
While design wise the idea of converting the driver to use
the hierarchy of the IRQ chips is correct, the implementation
has (inherited) flaws. This was unveiled when platform_get_irq()
had started WARN() on IRQ 0 that is supposed to be a Linux
IRQ number (also known as vIRQ).
Rework the driver to respect IRQ domain when creating each MFD
device separately, as the domain is not the same for all of them. |
