In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix SID memory leak in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() on overflow Commit 299f962c0b02 ("ksmbd: use check_add_overflow() to prevent u16 DACL size overflow") added check_add_overflow() guards that break out of the ACE-building loops in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() when the accumulated DACL size would wrap past 65535. However, each iteration allocates a struct smb_sid via kmalloc_obj() at the top of the loop and relies on the kfree(sid) call at the end of the loop body (the 'pass_same_sid' label in the first loop, and the explicit kfree at the tail of the second loop) to release it. The newly introduced 'break' statements bypass those kfree() calls, leaking the sid buffer every time an overflow is detected. A malicious or malformed file with enough POSIX ACL entries to trip the overflow check will leak one or more struct smb_sid allocations on every request that touches the file's DACL, providing a trivial kernel memory exhaustion vector. Free sid before breaking out of the loops to plug the leak.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/migrate_device: fix spinlock leak in migrate_vma_insert_huge_pmd_page When check_stable_address_space() fails after the PMD spinlock has been acquired via pmd_lock(), the code jumps directly to the abort label, bypassing the spin_unlock() call in unlock_abort. This causes the PMD spinlock to be permanently held, leading to a deadlock. Change the goto target from abort to unlock_abort to ensure the spinlock is always released on this error path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: vgic: Free private_irqs when init fails after allocation Companion to commit 250f25367b58 ("KVM: arm64: Tear down vGIC on failed vCPU creation"), which added the missing kvm_vgic_vcpu_destroy() call to the kvm_share_hyp() failure path in kvm_arch_vcpu_create(). The kvm_vgic_vcpu_init() failure path immediately above it has the same shape and still needs the same cleanup. Call kvm_vgic_vcpu_destroy() when kvm_vgic_vcpu_init() fails so private IRQs allocated before a redistributor iodev registration failure are released before the failed vCPU is freed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tt: avoid empty VLAN responses The commit 16116dac2339 ("batman-adv: prevent TT request storms by not sending inconsistent TT TLVLs") added checks to the local (direct) TT response code. But the response can also be done indirectly by another node using the global TT state. To avoid such inconsistency states reported in the original fix, also avoid sending empty VLANs for replies from the global TT state.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/hv-gpci: fix preempt count leak in sysfs show paths Four sysfs show() callbacks in hv-gpci take get_cpu_var(hv_gpci_reqb) (which calls preempt_disable()) but only call the matching put_cpu_var() on the error path under the 'out:' label. Every successful read leaks one preempt_disable(): processor_bus_topology_show() processor_config_show() affinity_domain_via_virtual_processor_show() affinity_domain_via_domain_show() (affinity_domain_via_partition_show() was already correct.) On a CONFIG_PREEMPT=y kernel, repeated reads raise preempt_count and eventually return to userspace with preemption still disabled. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: lenovo-wmi-helpers: Fix memory leak in lwmi_dev_evaluate_int() lwmi_dev_evaluate_int() leaks output.pointer when retval == NULL (found by sashiko.dev [1]). Fix it by moving `ret_obj = output.pointer' outside of the `if (retval)' block so that it is always freed by the __free cleanup callback. No functional change intended.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: v: prevent OGM aggregation on disabled hardif When an interface gets disabled, the worker is correctly disabled by batadv_hardif_disable_interface() -> ... -> batadv_v_ogm_iface_disable(). In this process, the skb aggr_list is also freed. But batadv_v_ogm_send_meshif() can still queue new skbs (via batadv_v_ogm_queue_on_if()) to the aggr_list. This will only stop after all cores can no longer find the RCU protected list of hard interfaces. These queued skbs will never be freed or consumed by batadv_v_ogm_aggr_work. The batadv_v_ogm_iface_disable() function must block batadv_v_ogm_queue_on_if() to avoid leak of skbs.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: restrict number of unacked list entries When the unacked_list is unbound, an attacker could send messages with small lengths and appropriated seqno + gaps to force the receiver to allocate more and more unacked_list entries. And the end either causing an out-of-memory situation or increase the management overhead for the (large) list that significant portions of CPU cycles are wasted in searching through the list. When limiting the list to a specific number, it is important to still correctly add a new entry to the list. But if the list became larger than the limit, the last entry of the list (with the highest seqno) must be dropped to still allow the earlier seqnos to finish and therefore to continue the process. Otherwise, the process might get stuck with too high seqnos which are not handled by batadv_tp_ack_unordered().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw88: usb: fix memory leaks on USB write failures When rtw_usb_write_port() fails to submit a USB Request Block (URB) (e.g., due to device disconnect or ENOMEM), the completion callback is never executed. Currently, the driver ignores the return value of rtw_usb_write_port() in rtw_usb_write_data() and rtw_usb_tx_agg_skb(). Because these functions rely on the completion callback to free the socket buffers (skbs) and the transaction control block (txcb), a submission failure results in: 1. A memory leak of the allocated skb in rtw_usb_write_data(). 2. A memory leak of the txcb structure and all aggregated skbs in rtw_usb_tx_agg_skb(). Fix this by checking the return value of rtw_usb_write_port(). If it fails, explicitly free the skb in rtw_usb_write_data(), and properly purge the tx_ack_queue and free the txcb in rtw_usb_tx_agg_skb(). The issue was discovered in practice during device disconnect/reconnect scenarios and memory pressure conditions. Tested by verifying normal TX operation continues after the fix without regressions.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irqchip/imgpdc: Fix resource leak, add missing chained handler cleanup on remove The driver allocates domain generic chips using irq_alloc_domain_generic_chips() during probe and sets up chained handlers using irq_set_chained_handler_and_data(). However, on driver removal, the generic chips are not freed and the chained handlers are not removed. The generic chips remain on the global gc_list and may later be accessed by generic interrupt chip suspend, resume, or shutdown callbacks after the driver has been removed, potentially resulting in a use-after-free and kernel crash. The chained handlers that were installed in probe for peripheral and syswake interrupts are also left dangling, which can lead to spurious interrupts accessing freed memory. Fix these issues by: - Setting IRQ_DOMAIN_FLAG_DESTROY_GC flag in domain->flags, so the core code automatically removes generic chips when irq_domain_remove() is called - Clearing all chained handlers with NULL in pdc_intc_remove()

Sigstore Timestamp Authority is a service for issuing RFC 3161 timestamps. Prior to 2.1.0, the global wrapMetrics middleware records raw HTTP request path r.URL.Path and raw HTTP request method r.Method as Prometheus labels for latency and request count metric vectors before routing, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to issue requests with random paths such as /api/v1/timestamp/<uuid> or random HTTP methods and create unbounded permanent time-series entries that exhaust memory. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.0.

A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated user to cause service disruption by supplying a repository release notes configuration file containing deeply nested YAML. When release notes were generated, the configuration file was parsed without a nesting depth limit, causing excessive resource consumption that could render the instance unresponsive. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.18, 3.18.12, 3.19.9, 3.20.5, and 3.21.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.

Symfony UX is a JavaScript ecosystem for Symfony. From 2.5.0 until 2.36.0 and 3.1.0, Symfony\UX\LiveComponent\Controller\BatchActionController::__invoke() iterates over the client-supplied actions array and issues a full HttpKernel sub-request for each entry; because the array size is never bounded, an authenticated client can submit a single _batch request containing thousands of actions and exhaust CPU, memory, and database connections on the application server. This issue is fixed in versions 2.36.0 and 3.1.0.

Quicly is an IETF QUIC protocol implementation intended primarily for use within the H2O HTTP server. Prior to commit 8b178e6, an adversarial peer could send a STREAM frame carrying just one byte at the largest offset being permitted to obtain additional flow control credit, which under certain circumstances could lead to a Denial of Service. Assuming the application prepares a receive buffer for storing all data that arrive out-of-order, up to the largest offset being received, this behavior could lead to the application allocating large amount of memory with the peer sending only a handful of packets, resulting in memory exhaustion. In addition to the receive buffer allocation strategy, the severity of this vulnerability depends on how the application controls the stream concurrency. In case of the H2O HTTP server, under its default setting, this bug increases the maximum amount of memory allocated per connection by about 4 times. This issue has been fixed by commit 8b178e6.
