CVE-2026-19028 1 Hdfgroup 1 Hdf5 2026-08-07 N/A
H5Z__filter_fletcher32 in H5Zfletcher32.c in HDF5 through 2.3.0 computes the data length to checksum by subtracting the 4-byte trailing checksum size from the input buffer size without checking that the buffer is at least 4 bytes, allowing a size_t underflow. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service (massively out-of-bounds read and application crash in H5_checksum_fletcher32) via a crafted HDF5 file with a Fletcher32-filtered chunk smaller than 4 bytes, triggered via H5Dread, e.g. by the h5ls or h5dump tools.
CVE-2026-19174 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-08-07 8.8 High
Integer overflow in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.109 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-58016 2 Gnome, Redhat 13 Glib, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 10 more 2026-08-07 7.5 High
A flaw was found in GLib. A state confusion issue exists in g_dbus_node_info_new_for_xml() in the gio/gdbusintrospection.c file when processing malformed D-Bus introspection XML, specifically with a `node` element nested within other elements like `method`, `signal`, `property` or `arg`. This issue can cause an unsigned integer overflow and lead to an out-of-bounds read, resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2026-45103 1 Opensips 1 Opensips 2026-08-05 7.5 High
OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. In versions prior to 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1, the TCP message framing layer parses the Content-Length header using unsigned int arithmetic with no overflow check. When an attacker sends a Content-Length value that overflows unsigned int (e.g., 4294967296), the framing layer computes a wrapped-around value (e.g., 0) and splits the TCP stream at the wrong boundary, causing the body of the first SIP message to be processed as a separate message and enabling SIP message smuggling. Because Content-Length is parsed in the transport layer before authentication, an unauthenticated, network-based attacker can smuggle arbitrary SIP messages over any TCP-based transport (proto_tcp, proto_tls, proto_ws, proto_wss) on any instance with TCP enabled, with no routing-script preconditions. This allows smuggled messages to bypass front-end SBC/proxy security policies, inherit the connection's authentication context, and evade rate limiting. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.
CVE-2026-71261 1 Mackron 1 Dr Libs 2026-08-05 7.8 High
dr_libs dr_wav.h (all versions through current master) contains an integer overflow in W64 CUE chunk metadata parsing. In drwav__metadata_process_chunk(), a stage-1 capacity estimate truncates the 64-bit W64 chunk sizeInBytes to size_t before dividing by DRWAV_CUE_POINT_BYTES; on 32-bit builds this truncation causes the pre-allocated extra metadata capacity to be computed incorrectly. The subsequent read in drwav__read_cue_to_metadata_obj() computes the actual cue point count and allocation size using the full-precision, attacker-controlled cuePointCount field without cross-checking it against the stage-1 capacity estimate, and the only bounds enforcement on the resulting memory region (drwav__metadata_get_memory()) is a DRWAV_ASSERT, which compiles to a no-op under -DNDEBUG (the default for release builds). A crafted W64 WAV file can therefore cause a heap buffer overflow in any 32-bit application parsing untrusted WAV metadata.
CVE-2026-66758 2 Gimp, Redhat 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the file-fits plugin in GIMP. When processing a FITS image file, the plugin calculates memory allocation sizes using signed 32-bit integers for width and height. If a crafted file sets both values to large values, their product exceeds 2^31 and overflows, resulting in an undersized heap-based buffer allocation. This integer overflow issue results in a heap-based buffer overflow when cfitsio subsequently writes a full row of pixels in the buffer, causing memory corruption, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service.
CVE-2026-68580 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-05 7.5 High
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 contains integer overflow vulnerabilities in the audio input redirection channel (audin) across ALSA, sndio, WinMM, and OpenSL ES backends that fail to validate the FramesPerPacket parameter from RDP servers. Attackers can supply a malicious FramesPerPacket value causing allocation size wraparound, resulting in heap-based buffer overflow on ALSA or denial of service on all platforms.
CVE-2026-71202 1 Kosinix 1 Raster 2026-08-05 7.5 High
The raster Rust crate's crop() function (src/editor.rs) clamps the crop width/height against source dimensions but only clamps the offset_x/offset_y parameters against 0, never against the source width/height. When an offset exceeds the corresponding source dimension, `width2 - offset_x` (or the height equivalent) underflows to a negative i32, which release builds do not trap; the negative value is then cast to usize inside Image::blank()'s Vec::with_capacity() call, triggering a capacity-overflow panic and crashing the process on a single crafted crop request.
CVE-2026-54413 1 Driftregion 1 Iso14229 2026-08-05 8.2 High
driftregion iso14229 through 0.9.0 contains an integer underflow and downstream out-of-bounds read in the Handle_0x27_SecurityAccess() function in iso14229.c that allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to crash a UDS server and potentially read memory past the receive buffer by sending a single-byte 0x27 SecurityAccess request that follows any earlier well-formed 0x27 message. The handler reads the SecurityAccess subFunction from recv_buf[1] without first checking that recv_len is at least 2, then computes the key-data length as the unsigned subtraction (uint16_t)(recv_len - UDS_0X27_REQ_BASE_LEN); when recv_len equals 1 the result underflows to 65535 and is passed as args.len to the application's SecAccessValidateKey or SecAccessRequestSeed callback, which typically iterates or copies that many bytes from the 4-KB receive buffer. Every other UDS sub-function handler in the library (0x10, 0x11, 0x14, 0x19, 0x22, 0x23, 0x28, and others) performs an explicit recv_len lower-bound check before indexing; Handle_0x27_SecurityAccess is the sole outlier. The vulnerable handler reaches over CAN bus, OBD-II, ISO-TP, and DoIP transports and is exposed in the default diagnostic session without prior authentication; deployments on automotive ECUs, industrial controllers, and IoT devices that ship iso14229 as their UDS server are affected.
CVE-2026-54412 1 Liambindle 1 Mqtt-c 2026-08-05 8.2 High
LiamBindle MQTT-C through version 1.1.6 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read and integer underflow in the mqtt_unpack_publish_response() function in src/mqtt.c that allows a remote unauthenticated attacker controlling an MQTT broker - or able to inject MQTT traffic into an unencrypted session - to crash a subscribed MQTT-C client and potentially disclose adjacent heap memory by sending a single crafted PUBLISH packet. The function validates only that the fixed-header remaining_length is at least 4, then reads the 16-bit topic_name_size field from the broker-controlled packet and advances the parse pointer by that value without verifying that topic_name_size plus the surrounding overhead fits within remaining_length; it subsequently computes application_message_size as remaining_length - topic_name_size - 2 (QoS 0) or - 4 (QoS greater than 0) in unsigned arithmetic, producing an integer underflow that is then passed to memmove(). A PUBLISH packet with topic_name_size = 0xFFFF and remaining_length = 7 advances the parse pointer 65535 bytes past the receive buffer (out-of-bounds read) and causes an application_message_size near 2^32, crashing the process when the resulting memmove() is executed.
CVE-2026-54410 1 Debevv 1 Nanomodbus 2026-08-05 8.6 High
nanoMODBUS through v1.23.0 contains an off-by-one buffer overflow in the recv_msg_header() function of the Modbus/TCP server that allows remote unauthenticated attackers to write one attacker-controlled byte past the end of the 260-byte receive buffer by sending a crafted MBAP frame whose Length field is set to 255. The overflow corrupts the adjacent buffer-index field of the nanoMODBUS state structure, resulting in denial of service through invalid memory accesses and, on bare-metal and RTOS targets without memory protection, one-byte information disclosure and writes to unintended register addresses on the Write Multiple Registers (FC16) handler path.
CVE-2026-3945 1 Tinyproxy 1 Tinyproxy 2026-08-05 7.5 High
An integer overflow vulnerability in the HTTP chunked transfer encoding parser in tinyproxy up to and including version 1.11.3 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS). The issue occurs because chunk size values are parsed using strtol() without properly validating overflow conditions (e.g., errno == ERANGE). A crafted chunk size such as 0x7fffffffffffffff (LONG_MAX) bypasses the existing validation check (chunklen < 0), leading to a signed integer overflow during arithmetic operations (chunklen + 2). This results in incorrect size calculations, causing the proxy to attempt reading an extremely large amount of request-body data and holding worker connections open indefinitely. An attacker can exploit this behavior to exhaust all available worker slots, preventing new connections from being accepted and causing complete service unavailability. Upstream addressed this issue in commit bb7edc4; however, the latest stable release (1.11.3) remains affected at the time of publication.
CVE-2024-53111 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-05 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/mremap: fix address wraparound in move_page_tables() On 32-bit platforms, it is possible for the expression `len + old_addr < old_end` to be false-positive if `len + old_addr` wraps around. `old_addr` is the cursor in the old range up to which page table entries have been moved; so if the operation succeeded, `old_addr` is the *end* of the old region, and adding `len` to it can wrap. The overflow causes mremap() to mistakenly believe that PTEs have been copied; the consequence is that mremap() bails out, but doesn't move the PTEs back before the new VMA is unmapped, causing anonymous pages in the region to be lost. So basically if userspace tries to mremap() a private-anon region and hits this bug, mremap() will return an error and the private-anon region's contents appear to have been zeroed. The idea of this check is that `old_end - len` is the original start address, and writing the check that way also makes it easier to read; so fix the check by rearranging the comparison accordingly. (An alternate fix would be to refactor this function by introducing an "orig_old_start" variable or such.) Tested in a VM with a 32-bit X86 kernel; without the patch: ``` user@horn:~/big_mremap$ cat test.c #define _GNU_SOURCE #include <stdlib.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <err.h> #include <sys/mman.h> #define ADDR1 ((void*)0x60000000) #define ADDR2 ((void*)0x10000000) #define SIZE 0x50000000uL int main(void) { unsigned char *p1 = mmap(ADDR1, SIZE, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_ANONYMOUS|MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_FIXED_NOREPLACE, -1, 0); if (p1 == MAP_FAILED) err(1, "mmap 1"); unsigned char *p2 = mmap(ADDR2, SIZE, PROT_NONE, MAP_ANONYMOUS|MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_FIXED_NOREPLACE, -1, 0); if (p2 == MAP_FAILED) err(1, "mmap 2"); *p1 = 0x41; printf("first char is 0x%02hhx\n", *p1); unsigned char *p3 = mremap(p1, SIZE, SIZE, MREMAP_MAYMOVE|MREMAP_FIXED, p2); if (p3 == MAP_FAILED) { printf("mremap() failed; first char is 0x%02hhx\n", *p1); } else { printf("mremap() succeeded; first char is 0x%02hhx\n", *p3); } } user@horn:~/big_mremap$ gcc -static -o test test.c user@horn:~/big_mremap$ setarch -R ./test first char is 0x41 mremap() failed; first char is 0x00 ``` With the patch: ``` user@horn:~/big_mremap$ setarch -R ./test first char is 0x41 mremap() succeeded; first char is 0x41 ```
