CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSv4: Fix a NULL pointer dereference in pnfs_mark_matching_lsegs_return()
Commit de144ff4234f changes _pnfs_return_layout() to call
pnfs_mark_matching_lsegs_return() passing NULL as the struct
pnfs_layout_range argument. Unfortunately,
pnfs_mark_matching_lsegs_return() doesn't check if we have a value here
before dereferencing it, causing an oops.
I'm able to hit this crash consistently when running connectathon basic
tests on NFS v4.1/v4.2 against Ontap. |

nvmet-rdma: Fix NULL deref when SEND is completed with error
When running some traffic and taking down the link on peer, a
retry counter exceeded error is received. This leads to
nvmet_rdma_error_comp which tried accessing the cq_context to
obtain the queue. The cq_context is no longer valid after the
fix to use shared CQ mechanism and should be obtained similar
to how it is obtained in other functions from the wc->qp.

sfc: farch: fix TX queue lookup in TX event handling
We're starting from a TXQ label, not a TXQ type, so
efx_channel_get_tx_queue() is inappropriate (and could return NULL,
leading to panics). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: f_fs: Clear ffs_eventfd in ffs_data_clear.
ffs_data_clear is indirectly called from both ffs_fs_kill_sb and
ffs_ep0_release, so it ends up being called twice when userland closes ep0
and then unmounts f_fs.
If userland provided an eventfd along with function's USB descriptors, it
ends up calling eventfd_ctx_put as many times, causing a refcount
underflow.
NULL-ify ffs_eventfd to prevent these extraneous eventfd_ctx_put calls.
Also, set epfiles to NULL right after de-allocating it, for readability.
For completeness, ffs_data_clear actually ends up being called thrice, the
last call being before the whole ffs structure gets freed, so when this
specific sequence happens there is a second underflow happening (but not
being reported):

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: Make tcp_allowed_congestion_control readonly in non-init netns
Currently, tcp_allowed_congestion_control is global and writable;
writing to it in any net namespace will leak into all other net
namespaces.
tcp_available_congestion_control and tcp_allowed_congestion_control are
the only sysctls in ipv4_net_table (the per-netns sysctl table) with a
NULL data pointer; their handlers (proc_tcp_available_congestion_control
and proc_allowed_congestion_control) have no other way of referencing a
struct net. Thus, they operate globally.
Because ipv4_net_table does not use designated initializers, there is no
easy way to fix up this one "bad" table entry. However, the data pointer
updating logic shouldn't be applied to NULL pointers anyway, so we
instead force these entries to be read-only.
These sysctls used to exist in ipv4_table (init-net only), but they were
moved to the per-net ipv4_net_table, presumably without realizing that
tcp_allowed_congestion_control was writable and thus introduced a leak.
Because the intent of that commit was only to know (i.e. read) "which
congestion algorithms are available or allowed", this read-only solution
should be sufficient.
The logic added in recent commit
31c4d2f160eb: ("net: Ensure net namespace isolation of sysctls")
does not and cannot check for NULL data pointers, because
other table entries (e.g. /proc/sys/net/netfilter/nf_log/) have
.data=NULL but use other methods (.extra2) to access the struct net. |
| FreeRDP before 3.29.0 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability in smartcard cache request decoders that accept NULL NDR pointers for LookupName in SCARD_IOCTL_READCACHEA and SCARD_IOCTL_WRITECACHEA operations. When smartcard emulation is enabled, attackers can send crafted smartcard cache requests with NULL lookup-name pointers to trigger strlen() on a null pointer, causing client process termination. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm: shrinker: fix NULL pointer dereference in debugfs
shrinker_debugfs_add() creates both "count" and "scan" debugfs files
unconditionally.
That assumes every shrinker implements both count_objects() and
scan_objects(), which is not guaranteed. For example, the xen-backend
shrinker sets count_objects() but leaves scan_objects() NULL, so writing
to its scan file calls through a NULL function pointer and panics the
kernel:
BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000

The count path has the same issue in principle if a shrinker omits
count_objects().
To fix it, only create "count" and "scan" debugfs files when the
corresponding callbacks are present. |

The virtio_balloon device registers 5 queues (inflate, deflate, stats,
free_page, reporting) but only the first two are unconditional. The
stats, free_page and reporting queues are each conditional on their
respective feature bits. When any of these features are absent, the
corresponding vqs_info entry has name == NULL, creating holes in the
array.
The root cause is an indexing mismatch introduced when vq info storage
was changed to be passed as an argument. vp_find_vqs_msix() and
vp_find_vqs_intx() store the info pointer at vp_dev->vqs[i], where 'i'
is the caller's sparse array index. However, the virtqueue itself gets
vq->index assigned from queue_idx, a dense index that skips NULL
entries. When holes exist, 'i' and queue_idx diverge. Later,
vp_del_vqs() looks up info via vp_dev->vqs[vq->index] using the dense
index into the sparsely-populated array, and hits NULL.
Fix this by storing info at vp_dev->vqs[queue_idx] instead of
vp_dev->vqs[i], so the store index matches the lookup index
(vq->index). Apply the fix to both the MSIX and INTX paths. |
| FreeRDP before 3.29.0 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability in smartcard device control request cleanup when reader-state decoding fails. Attackers can send malformed smartcard IRP requests with non-zero cReaders and truncated reader-state data to crash the process via null pointer access in free_reader_states functions. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: ndisc: fix NULL deref in accept_untracked_na()
accept_untracked_na() re-fetches the inet6_dev with __in6_dev_get(dev)
and dereferences idev->cnf.accept_untracked_na without a NULL check,
even though its only caller ndisc_recv_na() already fetched and
NULL-checked idev for the same device.
Both reads of dev->ip6_ptr run in the same RCU read-side critical
section, but a concurrent addrconf_ifdown() can clear dev->ip6_ptr
between them: lowering the MTU below IPV6_MIN_MTU calls addrconf_ifdown()
without the synchronize_net() that orders the unregister path, so the
re-fetch returns NULL and oopses:
BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in ndisc_recv_na (net/ipv6/ndisc.c:974)

It is reachable by an unprivileged user via a network namespace.
Pass the caller's already validated idev instead of re-fetching it; the
idev stays alive for the whole RCU critical section, so it is safe even
after dev->ip6_ptr has been cleared. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Reject BPF_MAP_TYPE_INODE_STORAGE creation if BPF LSM is uninitialized
When CONFIG_BPF_LSM=y is set, BPF inode storage maps
(BPF_MAP_TYPE_INODE_STORAGE) are compiled into the kernel. However,
if the BPF LSM is not explicitly enabled at boot time (e.g. omitted
from the "lsm=" boot parameter), lsm_prepare() is never executed for
the BPF LSM.
Consequently, the BPF inode security blob offset
(bpf_lsm_blob_sizes.lbs_inode) is never initialized and remains at
its default compiled size of 8 bytes instead of being updated to a
valid offset past the reserved struct rcu_head (typically 16 bytes
or more).
When a privileged user creates and updates a BPF_MAP_TYPE_INODE_STORAGE
map, bpf_inode() evaluates inode->i_security + 8. This erroneously
aliases the struct rcu_head.func callback pointer at the beginning
of the inode->i_security blob. During subsequent map element cleanup
or inode destruction, writing NULL to owner_storage clears the queued
RCU callback pointer. When rcu_do_batch() later executes the queued
callback, it attempts an instruction fetch at address 0x0, triggering
an immediate kernel panic.
Fix this by introducing a global bpf_lsm_initialized boolean flag
marked with __ro_after_init. Set this flag to true inside bpf_lsm_init()
when the LSM framework successfully registers the BPF LSM. Gate map
allocation in inode_storage_map_alloc() on this flag, returning
-EOPNOTSUPP if the BPF LSM is in turn uninitialized.
This fail-fast approach prevents userspace from allocating inode
storage maps when the supporting BPF LSM infrastructure is absent,
avoiding zombie map states. |

| A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability for driver `GFAC_Sys_x64.sys` in Little Orbit GFAC allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service via crafted requests that trigger a system crash. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in smooth_parse_stream_index() in src/media_tools/mpd.c in GPAC master HEAD before commit b35c61f104b85fbb16520ac2838d5d2ef70845b5 allows attackers to cause a denial of service |
| An incomplete fix for CVE-2026-15352 in the NASA core Flight System
(cFS) Health and Safety (HS) application leaves a separate NULL pointer
dereference reachable in versions through 7.0.1. An attacker who can
trigger the affected command under specific conditions could cause the
HS application to crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition and
processor reset. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: mld: don't dereference a pointer before NULL checking it
In iwl_mld_remove_link, the link->fw_id is saved at the beginning of the
function so we have it after we freed the link.
But the link pointer can be NULL, and is not checked when the fw_id is
stored.
Fix it by simply freeing the link at the end of the function.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ACPI: driver: Check ACPI_COMPANION() against NULL during probe
Since every platform driver can be forced to match a device that doesn't
match its list of device IDs because of device_match_driver_override(),
platform drivers that rely on the existence of a device's ACPI companion
object should verify its presence.
Accordingly, add requisite ACPI_COMPANION() or ACPI_HANDLE() checks
against NULL to 13 platform drivers handling core ACPI devices.
Also change the value returned by the ACPI thermal zone driver when
the device's ACPI companion is not present to -ENODEV for consistency
with the other drivers. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: mtk-jpeg: cancel workqueue on release for supported platforms only
Since a recent fix the mtk_jpeg_release function cancels any pending
or running work present in the driver workqueue using
cancel_work_sync function.
Currently, only the multicore based variants use this workqueue and they
have the jpeg_worker platform data field initialized with a workqueue
callback function. For the others, this field value remain NULL by
default.
The cancel_work_sync function is unconditionally called in
mtk_jpeg_release function, even for the variants that do not use the
workqueue. This call generates a WARN_ON print in __flush_work because
the workqueue callback function presence check fails in __flush_work
function (used by cancel_work_sync).
So, to avoid these warnings, call cancel_work_sync only if a workqueue
callback is defined in platform data. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the AP4_TkhdAtom::GetTrackId() function of Aleksoid1978 MPC-BE before commit 4341cb3 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted MP4 file. |
| In Modem, there is a possible system crash due to improper input validation. This could lead to remote denial of service, if a UE has connected to a rogue base station controlled by the attacker, with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: MOLY01826924; Issue ID: MSV-7301. |
