CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fuse-uring: fix data races on ring->ready
On weakly-ordered architectures, the store to fiq->ops can be
reordered past the store to ring->ready, allowing a CPU that sees
ring->ready == true via fuse_uring_ready() to dispatch requests
through a stale fiq->ops pointer. Upgrade the store to
smp_store_release() and the load in fuse_uring_ready() to
smp_load_acquire() so that the preceding WRITE_ONCE(fiq->ops, ...)
is visible to any CPU that observes ring->ready == true.
Additionally, fuse_uring_do_register() publishes ring->ready with
WRITE_ONCE() but the fast-path check reads it with a plain load.
This is a marked-vs-unmarked access that KCSAN will flag. Wrap it in
READ_ONCE() to mark it without adding unnecessary ordering.
Also wrap the fc->ring load in fuse_uring_ready() in READ_ONCE() to
prevent the compiler from reloading it between the NULL check and the
dereference. |
| As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco IOS XE Software engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in software hardening releases that address multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities.
The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-20269 are related to issues with improper control of a resource through its lifetime that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Pillar CWE-664. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: adc: spear: Initialize completion before requesting IRQ
In the report from Jaeyoung Chung:
"spear_adc_probe() in drivers/iio/adc/spear_adc.c registers its
interrupt handler with devm_request_irq() before it initializes
st->completion with init_completion(). If an interrupt arrives after
devm_request_irq() and before init_completion(), the handler calls
complete() on an uninitialized completion, causing a kernel panic.
The probe path, in spear_adc_probe():
iodev = devm_iio_device_alloc(&pdev->dev, sizeof(*st)); /* st kzalloc-zeroed */
...
retval = devm_request_irq(&pdev->dev, irq, spear_adc_isr, 0,
LPC32XXAD_NAME, st); /* register handler */
...
init_completion(&st->completion); /* initialize completion */
spear_adc_isr() calls complete():
complete(&st->completion);
If the device raises an interrupt before init_completion() runs,
complete() acquires the uninitialized wait.lock and walks the zeroed
task_list in swake_up_locked(). The zeroed task_list makes list_empty()
return false, so swake_up_locked() dereferences a NULL list entry,
triggering a KASAN wild-memory-access."
Fix the chance of a spurious IRQ causing an uninitialized pointer
dereference by moving init_completion() above devm_request_irq(). |
| Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 40.10.6, 41.9.1, 42.5.1, and 43.0.0, when a custom protocol handler returned a ProtocolResponse with a url and no session, Electron made the upstream request through defaultSession instead of the session that handled the protocol. A cached response could then be reused across otherwise isolated session partitions. Apps that use ProtocolResponse.url, omit ProtocolResponse.session, and rely on separate sessions to isolate content are affected. This issue is fixed in versions 40.10.6, 41.9.1, 42.5.1, and 43.0.0. |

bpf: bpf_local_storage: Always use bpf_mem_alloc in PREEMPT_RT
In PREEMPT_RT, kmalloc(GFP_ATOMIC) is still not safe in non preemptible
context. bpf_mem_alloc must be used in PREEMPT_RT. This patch is
to enforce bpf_mem_alloc in the bpf_local_storage when CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT
is enabled.

There is no need to adjust the gfp_flags passing to the
bpf_mem_cache_alloc_flags() which only honors the GFP_KERNEL.
The verifier has ensured GFP_KERNEL is passed only in sleepable context.
It has been an old issue since the first introduction of the
bpf_local_storage ~5 years ago, so this patch targets the bpf-next.
bpf_mem_alloc is needed to solve it, so the Fixes tag is set
to the commit when bpf_mem_alloc was first used in the bpf_local_storage. |
| This issue was addressed through improved state management. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6, macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. An app may be able to access sensitive user data. |
| The import hook in CPython that handles legacy *.pyc files (SourcelessFileLoader) is incorrectly handled in FileLoader (a base class) and so does not use io.open_code() to read the .pyc files. sys.audit handlers for this audit event therefore do not fire. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drivers/base/memory: set mem->altmap after successful device registration
If __add_memory_block() fails at xa_store() (under memory pressure for
example), device_unregister() is called, which eventually triggers
memory_block_release() with mem->altmap still set, causing a
WARN_ON(mem->altmap). This was triggered by modifying virtio-mem driver.
Fix this by delaying the assignment of mem->altmap until after
__add_memory_block() has succeeded. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: add srng->lock for ath11k_hal_srng_* in monitor mode
ath11k_hal_srng_* should be used with srng->lock to protect srng data.
For ath11k_dp_rx_mon_dest_process() and ath11k_dp_full_mon_process_rx(),
they use ath11k_hal_srng_* for many times but never call srng->lock.
So when running (full) monitor mode, warning will occur:
RIP: 0010:ath11k_hal_srng_dst_peek+0x18/0x30 [ath11k]

So add srng->lock for them to avoid such warnings.
Inorder to fetch the srng->lock, should change srng's definition from
'void' to 'struct hal_srng'. And initialize them elsewhere to prevent
one line of code from being too long. This is consistent with other ring
process functions, such as ath11k_dp_process_rx().

The issue may be triggered by damon, offline_page, page_idle, etc, which
will increase the refcount of page table.
1. The page table itself will be discarded after reporting the
"nonzero mapcount".
2. The HugeTLB page mapped by the page table miss freeing since we
treat the page table as shared and a shared page table will not be
unmapped.
Fix it by introducing independent PMD page table shared count. As
described by comment, pt_index/pt_mm/pt_frag_refcount are used for s390
gmap, x86 pgds and powerpc, pt_share_count is used for x86/arm64/riscv
pmds, so we can reuse the field as pt_share_count. |

net: stmmac: fix TSO DMA API usage causing oops
Commit 66600fac7a98 ("net: stmmac: TSO: Fix unbalanced DMA map/unmap
for non-paged SKB data") moved the assignment of tx_skbuff_dma[]'s
members to be later in stmmac_tso_xmit().
The buf (dma cookie) and len stored in this structure are passed to
dma_unmap_single() by stmmac_tx_clean(). The DMA API requires that
the dma cookie passed to dma_unmap_single() is the same as the value
returned from dma_map_single(). However, by moving the assignment
later, this is not the case when priv->dma_cap.addr64 > 32 as "des"
is offset by proto_hdr_len.
This causes problems such as:
dwc-eth-dwmac 2490000.ethernet eth0: Tx DMA map failed
and with DMA_API_DEBUG enabled:
DMA-API: dwc-eth-dwmac 2490000.ethernet: device driver tries to +free DMA memory it has not allocated [device address=0x000000ffffcf65c0] [size=66 bytes]
Fix this by maintaining "des" as the original DMA cookie, and use
tso_des to pass the offset DMA cookie to stmmac_tso_allocator().

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_tables: do not defer rule destruction via call_rcu
nf_tables_chain_destroy can sleep, it can't be used from call_rcu
callbacks.
Moreover, nf_tables_rule_release() is only safe for error unwinding,
while transaction mutex is held and the to-be-desroyed rule was not
exposed to either dataplane or dumps, as it deactives+frees without
the required synchronize_rcu() in-between.
nft_rule_expr_deactivate() callbacks will change ->use counters
of other chains/sets, see e.g. nft_lookup .deactivate callback, these
must be serialized via transaction mutex.
Also add a few lockdep asserts to make this more explicit.
Calling synchronize_rcu() isn't ideal, but fixing this without is hard
and way more intrusive. As-is, we can get:
WARNING: .. net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c:5515 nft_set_destroy+0x..
Workqueue: events nf_tables_trans_destroy_work
RIP: 0010:nft_set_destroy+0x3fe/0x5c0

<TASK>
nf_tables_trans_destroy_work+0x6b7/0xad0
process_one_work+0x64a/0xce0
worker_thread+0x613/0x10d0
In case the synchronize_rcu becomes an issue, we can explore alternatives.
One way would be to allocate nft_trans_rule objects + one nft_trans_chain
object, deactivate the rules + the chain and then defer the freeing to the
nft destroy workqueue. We'd still need to keep the synchronize_rcu path as
a fallback to handle -ENOMEM corner cases though. |

net/smc: initialize close_work early to avoid warning
We encountered a warning that close_work was canceled before

This is because when smc_close_cancel_work is triggered, e.g. the RDMA
driver is rmmod and the LGR is terminated, the conn->close_work is
flushed before initialization, resulting in WARN_ON(!work->func).
__smc_lgr_terminate | smc_connect_{rdma|ism}
-------------------------------------------------------------
| smc_conn_create
| \- smc_lgr_register_conn
for conn in lgr->conns_all |
\- smc_conn_kill |
\- smc_close_active_abort |
\- smc_close_cancel_work |
\- cancel_work_sync |
\- __flush_work |
(close_work) |
| smc_close_init
| \- INIT_WORK(&close_work)
So fix this by initializing close_work before establishing the
connection. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: caiaq: Use snd_card_free_when_closed() at disconnection
The USB disconnect callback is supposed to be short and not too-long
waiting. OTOH, the current code uses snd_card_free() at
disconnection, but this waits for the close of all used fds, hence it
can take long. It eventually blocks the upper layer USB ioctls, which
may trigger a soft lockup.
An easy workaround is to replace snd_card_free() with
snd_card_free_when_closed(). This variant returns immediately while
the release of resources is done asynchronously by the card device
release at the last close.
This patch also splits the code to the disconnect and the free phases;
the former is called immediately at the USB disconnect callback while
the latter is called from the card destructor. |
