CVSS v3.1 |
| A security flaw has been discovered in poco-ai poco-agent up to 0.5.4. Affected is the function WorkspaceManager._setup_session_persistence of the file executor/app/core/workspace.py of the component Claude File Handler. The manipulation results in incomplete cleanup. The attack may be performed from remote. Attacks of this nature are highly complex. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. |
| Sharp and Toshiba Tec MFPs (multifunction printers) caches data internally when printing, and leave them uncleared. They may be accessed later by other users. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: do proper folio cleanup when cow_file_range() failed
[BUG]
When testing with COW fixup marked as BUG_ON() (this is involved with the
new pin_user_pages*() change, which should not result new out-of-band
dirty pages), I hit a crash triggered by the BUG_ON() from hitting COW
fixup path.
This BUG_ON() happens just after a failed btrfs_run_delalloc_range():

[CAUSE]
That failure is mostly from cow_file_range(), where we can hit -ENOSPC.
Although the -ENOSPC is already a bug related to our space reservation
code, let's just focus on the error handling.
For example, we have the following dirty range [0, 64K) of an inode,
with 4K sector size and 4K page size:
0 16K 32K 48K 64K
|///////////////////////////////////////|
|#######################################|
Where |///| means page are still dirty, and |###| means the extent io
tree has EXTENT_DELALLOC flag.
- Enter extent_writepage() for page 0
- Enter btrfs_run_delalloc_range() for range [0, 64K)
- Enter cow_file_range() for range [0, 64K)
- Function btrfs_reserve_extent() only reserved one 16K extent
So we created extent map and ordered extent for range [0, 16K)
0 16K 32K 48K 64K
|////////|//////////////////////////////|
|<- OE ->|##############################|
And range [0, 16K) has its delalloc flag cleared.
But since we haven't yet submit any bio, involved 4 pages are still
dirty.
- Function btrfs_reserve_extent() returns with -ENOSPC
Now we have to run error cleanup, which will clear all
EXTENT_DELALLOC* flags and clear the dirty flags for the remaining
ranges:
0 16K 32K 48K 64K
|////////| |
| | |
Note that range [0, 16K) still has its pages dirty.
- Some time later, writeback is triggered again for the range [0, 16K)
since the page range still has dirty flags.
- btrfs_run_delalloc_range() will do nothing because there is no
EXTENT_DELALLOC flag.
- extent_writepage_io() finds page 0 has no ordered flag
Which falls into the COW fixup path, triggering the BUG_ON().
Unfortunately this error handling bug dates back to the introduction of
btrfs. Thankfully with the abuse of COW fixup, at least it won't crash
the kernel.
[FIX]
Instead of immediately unlocking the extent and folios, we keep the extent
and folios locked until either erroring out or the whole delalloc range
finished.
When the whole delalloc range finished without error, we just unlock the
whole range with PAGE_SET_ORDERED (and PAGE_UNLOCK for !keep_locked
cases)

---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]---
[CAUSE]
The first two lines of extra debug messages show the problem is caused
by the error handling of run_delalloc_nocow().
E.g. we have the following dirtied range (4K blocksize 4K page size):
0 16K 32K
|//////////////////////////////////////|
| Pre-allocated |
And the range [0, 16K) has a preallocated extent.
- Enter run_delalloc_nocow() for range [0, 16K)
Which found range [0, 16K) is preallocated, can do the proper NOCOW
write.
- Enter fallback_to_fow() for range [16K, 32K)
Since the range [16K, 32K) is not backed by preallocated extent, we
have to go COW.
- cow_file_range() failed for range [16K, 32K)
So cow_file_range() will do the clean up by clearing folio dirty,
unlock the folios.
Now the folios in range [16K, 32K) is unlocked.
- Enter extent_clear_unlock_delalloc() from run_delalloc_nocow()
Which is called with PAGE_START_WRITEBACK to start page writeback.
But folios can only be marked writeback when it's properly locked,
thus this triggered the VM_BUG_ON_FOLIO().
Furthermore there is another hidden but common bug that
run_delalloc_nocow() is not clearing the folio dirty flags in its error
handling path.
This is the common bug shared between run_delalloc_nocow() and
cow_file_range().
[FIX]
- Clear folio dirty for range [@start, @cur_offset)
Introduce a helper, cleanup_dirty_folios(), which
will find and lock the folio in the range, clear the dirty flag and
start/end the writeback, with the extra handling for the
@locked_folio.
- Introduce a helper to clear folio dirty, start and end writeback
- Introduce a helper to record the last failed COW range end
This is to trace which range we should skip, to avoid double
unlocking.
- Skip the failed COW range for the e

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: caiaq: Use snd_card_free_when_closed() at disconnection
The USB disconnect callback is supposed to be short and not too-long
waiting. OTOH, the current code uses snd_card_free() at
disconnection, but this waits for the close of all used fds, hence it
can take long. It eventually blocks the upper layer USB ioctls, which
may trigger a soft lockup.
An easy workaround is to replace snd_card_free() with
snd_card_free_when_closed(). This variant returns immediately while
the release of resources is done asynchronously by the card device
release at the last close.
This patch also splits the code to the disconnect and the free phases;
the former is called immediately at the USB disconnect callback while
the latter is called from the card destructor. |

net: sched: fix ordering of qlen adjustment
Changes to sch->q.qlen around qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog() need to happen
_before_ a call to said function because otherwise it may fail to notify
parent qdiscs when the child is about to become empty. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm: avoid leaving partial pfn mappings around in error case
As Jann points out, PFN mappings are special, because unlike normal
memory mappings, there is no lifetime information associated with the
mapping - it is just a raw mapping of PFNs with no reference counting of
a 'struct page'.
That's all very much intentional, but it does mean that it's easy to
mess up the cleanup in case of errors. Yes, a failed mmap() will always
eventually clean up any partial mappings, but without any explicit
lifetime in the page table mapping itself, it's very easy to do the
error handling in the wrong order.
In particular, it's easy to mistakenly free the physical backing store
before the page tables are actually cleaned up and (temporarily) have
stale dangling PTE entries.
To make this situation less error-prone, just make sure that any partial
pfn mapping is torn down early, before any other error handling. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: sr: fix invalid unregister error path
The error path of seg6_init() is wrong in case CONFIG_IPV6_SEG6_LWTUNNEL
is not defined. In that case if seg6_hmac_init() fails, the
genl_unregister_family() isn't called.
This issue exist since commit 46738b1317e1 ("ipv6: sr: add option to control
lwtunnel support"), and commit 5559cea2d5aa ("ipv6: sr: fix possible
use-after-free and null-ptr-deref") replaced unregister_pernet_subsys()
with genl_unregister_family() in this error path. |

mac802154: fix llsec key resources release in mac802154_llsec_key_del
mac802154_llsec_key_del() can free resources of a key directly without
following the RCU rules for waiting before the end of a grace period. This
may lead to use-after-free in case llsec_lookup_key() is traversing the
list of keys in parallel with a key deletion:

Handle the proper resource release in the RCU callback function
mac802154_llsec_key_del_rcu().
Note that if llsec_lookup_key() finds a key, it gets a refcount via
llsec_key_get() and locally copies key id from key_entry (which is a
list element). So it's safe to call llsec_key_put() and free the list
entry after the RCU grace period elapses.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: core: Avoid smp_processor_id() in preemptible code
The BUG message "BUG: using smp_processor_id() in preemptible [00000000]
code" was observed for TCMU devices with kernel config DEBUG_PREEMPT.
The message was observed when blktests block/005 was run on TCMU devices
with fileio backend or user:zbc backend [1]. The commit 1130b499b4a7
("scsi: target: tcm_loop: Use LIO wq cmd submission helper") triggered the
symptom. The commit modified work queue to handle commands and changed
'current->nr_cpu_allowed' at smp_processor_id() call.
The message was also observed at system shutdown when TCMU devices were not
cleaned up [2]. The function smp_processor_id() was called in SCSI host
work queue for abort handling, and triggered the BUG message. This symptom
was observed regardless of the commit 1130b499b4a7 ("scsi: target:
tcm_loop: Use LIO wq cmd submission helper").
To avoid the preemptible code check at smp_processor_id(), get CPU ID with
raw_smp_processor_id() instead. The CPU ID is used for performance
improvement then thread move to other CPU will not affect the code.

tree. As fork() fails, we'll cleanup the maple tree, and stumble over
the dst VMA for which we neither performed any reservation nor copied
any page tables.
Consequently untrack_pfn() will see VM_PAT and try obtaining the
PAT information from the page table -- which fails because the page
table was not copied.
The easiest fix would be to simply clear the VM_PAT flag of the dst VMA
if track_pfn_copy() fails. However, the whole thing is about "simply"
clearing the VM_PAT flag is shaky as well: if we passed track_pfn_copy()
and performed a reservation, but copying the page tables fails, we'll
simply clear the VM_PAT flag, not properly undoing the reservation ...
which is also wrong.
So let's fix it properly: set the VM_PAT flag only if the reservation
succeeded (leaving it clear initially), and undo the reservation if
anything goes wrong while copying the page tables: clearing the VM_PAT
flag after undoing the reservation.
Note that any copied page table entries will get zapped when the VMA will
get removed later, after copy_page_range() succeeded; as VM_PAT is not set
then, we won't try cleaning VM_PAT up once more and untrack_pfn() will be
happy. Note that leaving these page tables in place without a reservation
is not a problem, as we are aborting fork(); this process will never run.
A reproducer can trigger this usually at the first try:

Likely this case was missed in:

... and instead of undoing the reservation we simply cleared the VM_PAT flag.
Keep the documentation of these functions in include/linux/pgtable.h,
one place is more than sufficient -- we should clean that up for the other
functions like track_pfn_remap/untrack_pfn separately. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: hns3: make sure ptp clock is unregister and freed if hclge_ptp_get_cycle returns an error
During the initialization of ptp, hclge_ptp_get_cycle might return an error
and returned directly without unregister clock and free it. To avoid that,
call hclge_ptp_destroy_clock to unregist and free clock if
hclge_ptp_get_cycle failed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: tcpci_rt1711h: unregister TCPCI port with devres
rt1711h_probe() registers the TCPCI port before requesting the interrupt
and enabling alert interrupts. If either of those later steps fails, the
probe function returns without unregistering the TCPCI port. The explicit
unregister currently only happens from the remove callback.
Register a devres action immediately after tcpci_register_port() succeeds,
so tcpci_unregister_port() runs on later probe failures and on driver
detach. Drop the remove callback to avoid unregistering the same port
twice.

| There is an incomplete cleanup vulnerability in Qt Network's Schannel support on Windows which can lead to a Denial of Service over a long period.
This issue affects Qt from 5.15.0 through 6.8.3, from 6.9.0 before 6.9.2. |
| Xenstore, to have an up-to-date picture of the entire system, wants to
know of domains appearing and disappearing. To make this more robust, a
new XEN_DOMCTL_get_domain_state was introduced. The management of the
bitmap underlying that operation is tied into the binding of the
VIRQ_DOM_EXC virtual IRQ. Unfortunately an error path there would tear
down the bitmap even in cases when it wasn't set up. Unprivileged domains
can trigger that error path. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6, RabbitMQ allows foreign bindings to amq.rabbitmq.reply-to destinations because volatile direct-reply-to queues can be accepted at bind and route time but are missing from Khepri-backed deletion checks, leaving persistent route entries after unbind. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6. |
