| The WatchGuard Terminal Services Agent on Windows does not properly configure directory permissions when installed in a non-default directory. This could allow an authenticated local attacker to escalate to SYSTEM privileges on a vulnerable system. |
| The WatchGuard Mobile VPN with SSL Client on Windows does not properly configure directory permissions when installed in a non-default directory. This could allow an authenticated local attacker to escalate to SYSTEM privileges on a vulnerable system. |
| A weakness has been identified in StableBit Scanner 2.6.13.4088. This affects an unknown part of the file C:\Program Files (x86)\StableBit\Scanner\Service\Scanner.Service.exe of the component ScannerService. This manipulation causes permission issues. The attack is restricted to local execution. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in StableBit DrivePool 2.3.13.1687. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file C:\Program Files\StableBit\DrivePool\DrivePool.Service.exe of the component DrivePoolService. Such manipulation leads to permission issues. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. |
| A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Container-native Virtualization images. This issue stems from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during build time. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This could allow the attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, leading to full root privileges within the container. |
| An unsafe parsing of OpenMQ's configuration in OpenMQ versions <6.5.2 and <6.9.0, allows a remote attacker to read arbitrary files from a MQ Broker's server. A full exploitation could read unauthorized files of the OpenMQ’s host OS. In some scenarios RCE could be achieved. This is fixed in OpenMQ 6.5.2, 6.9.0, and in GlassFish 7.0.26, 7.1.1, and 8.0.2. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle Work in Process product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Work in Process. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle Work in Process, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Work in Process accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Work in Process accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.6 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
selinux, smack: don't bypass permissions check in inode_setsecctx hook
Marek Gresko reports that the root user on an NFS client is able to
change the security labels on files on an NFS filesystem that is
exported with root squashing enabled.
The end of the kerneldoc comment for __vfs_setxattr_noperm() states:
* This function requires the caller to lock the inode's i_mutex before it
* is executed. It also assumes that the caller will make the appropriate
* permission checks.
nfsd_setattr() does do permissions checking via fh_verify() and
nfsd_permission(), but those don't do all the same permissions checks
that are done by security_inode_setxattr() and its related LSM hooks do.
Since nfsd_setattr() is the only consumer of security_inode_setsecctx(),
simplest solution appears to be to replace the call to
__vfs_setxattr_noperm() with a call to __vfs_setxattr_locked(). This
fixes the above issue and has the added benefit of causing nfsd to
recall conflicting delegations on a file when a client tries to change
its security label. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nft_set_rbtree: skip sync GC for new elements in this transaction
New elements in this transaction might expired before such transaction
ends. Skip sync GC for such elements otherwise commit path might walk
over an already released object. Once transaction is finished, async GC
will collect such expired element. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm: don't try to NUMA-migrate COW pages that have other uses
Oded Gabbay reports that enabling NUMA balancing causes corruption with
his Gaudi accelerator test load:
"All the details are in the bug, but the bottom line is that somehow,
this patch causes corruption when the numa balancing feature is
enabled AND we don't use process affinity AND we use GUP to pin pages
so our accelerator can DMA to/from system memory.
Either disabling numa balancing, using process affinity to bind to
specific numa-node or reverting this patch causes the bug to
disappear"
and Oded bisected the issue to commit 09854ba94c6a ("mm: do_wp_page()
simplification").
Now, the NUMA balancing shouldn't actually be changing the writability
of a page, and as such shouldn't matter for COW. But it appears it
does. Suspicious.
However, regardless of that, the condition for enabling NUMA faults in
change_pte_range() is nonsensical. It uses "page_mapcount(page)" to
decide if a COW page should be NUMA-protected or not, and that makes
absolutely no sense.
The number of mappings a page has is irrelevant: not only does GUP get a
reference to a page as in Oded's case, but the other mappings migth be
paged out and the only reference to them would be in the page count.
Since we should never try to NUMA-balance a page that we can't move
anyway due to other references, just fix the code to use 'page_count()'.
Oded confirms that that fixes his issue.
Now, this does imply that something in NUMA balancing ends up changing
page protections (other than the obvious one of making the page
inaccessible to get the NUMA faulting information). Otherwise the COW
simplification wouldn't matter - since doing the GUP on the page would
make sure it's writable.
The cause of that permission change would be good to figure out too,
since it clearly results in spurious COW events - but fixing the
nonsensical test that just happened to work before is obviously the
CorrectThing(tm) to do regardless. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nft_ct: skip expectations for confirmed conntrack
nft_ct_expect_obj_eval() calls nf_ct_ext_add() for a confirmed
conntrack entry. However, nf_ct_ext_add() can only be called for
!nf_ct_is_confirmed().

Add the ct helper extension only for unconfirmed conntrack. Skip rule
evaluation if the ct helper extension does not exist. Thus, you can
only create expectations from the first packet.
It should be possible to remove this limitation by adding a new action
to attach a generic ct helper to the first packet. Then, use this ct
helper extension from follow up packets to create the ct expectation.
While at it, add a missing check to skip the template conntrack too
and remove check for IPCT_UNTRACK which is implicit to !ct. |
| Incorrect Permission Assignment in BOSH.Utils.psm1 in BOSH-Ecosystem bosh-windows-stemcell-builder allows low-privilege authenticated users to overwrite C:\bosh\service_wrapper.exe or C:\bosh\bosh-agent.exe and gain NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM on the next service restart or reboot. This can lead to full host control.
Affected versions: bosh-windows-stemcell-builder versions prior to v2019.98. |
| A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. A malicious app may be able to gain root privileges. |

| An incorrect default permissions vulnerability in Synology Assistant before 7.0.7-50095 allows local users to read or write arbitrary files and conduct denial-of-service during installation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: fix chown/chgrp with SMB3 POSIX Extensions
Ownership (chown) and group (chgrp) modifications were being ignored when
mounting with SMB3 POSIX Extensions unless CIFS_MOUNT_CIFS_ACL or
CIFS_MOUNT_MODE_FROM_SID were also explicitly set.
Fix this by checking for posix_extensions in cifs_setattr_nounix() when
updating UID and GID, ensuring that id_mode_to_cifs_acl() is called to map
and set the ownership/group information on the server. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: use opener credentials for delete-on-close
Delete-on-close can be completed by deferred or durable handle teardown,
where no request work is available. Both the base-file unlink and the ADS
xattr removal consequently run with the ksmbd worker credentials and can
bypass filesystem permission checks.
Run both operations with the credentials captured in struct file when the
handle was opened. This preserves the authenticated user's fsuid, fsgid,
supplementary groups and capability restrictions at final close. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in Mendix Runtime (All versions). Mendix documentation for access rules does not adequately describe the special behavior of the System.User entity, leaving developers without sufficient guidance to configure access rules securely. This documentation gap may lead application developers to unknowingly apply overly permissive access rules to System.User, resulting in unintended exposure of sensitive user data or privilege escalation within deployed Mendix applications. |
| The security fix for CVE-2025-66518 is incomplete. Any client who can access to Apache Kyuubi Server via Kyuubi frontend protocols can bypass server-side config kyuubi.session.local.dir.allowlist via unprefixed Spark config aliases.
This issue affects Apache Kyuubi: from 1.6.0 before 1.12.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.12.0, which fixes the issue. |
| Incorrect default permissions issue exists in Pupsman versions prior to 3.9.0. An attacker can place a malicious executable in the installation folder, which results in arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privilege |
