CVE-2026-95270 1 Dgtlmoon 1 Changedetection.io 2026-09-22 3.7 Low
A flaw has been found in dgtlmoon changedetection.io up to 0.60.7. The affected element is the function check_password of the file changedetectionio/flask_app.py of the component Hash Comparison. This manipulation of the argument Password causes observable timing discrepancy. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. A high degree of complexity is needed for the attack. The exploitability is described as difficult. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2026-15432 1 Google 2 Tink Android, Tink Java 2026-09-22 5.9 Medium
When verifying a mac with a ChunkedMacVerification object, Tink compares the resulting tag with non constant time comparison. This potentially allows an attacker to use timinig information as a side channel in order to get information how many bytes of a given tag match the correct tag. This in turn could allow to find a correct tag bytewise.
CVE-2026-58272 1 Sync-in 1 Server 2026-09-21 5.3 Medium
Sync-in Server is an open-source platform for file storage, sharing, collaboration, and syncing. Versions prior to 2.4.1 contain an observable timing discrepancy in the login endpoint because authentication attempts for nonexistent accounts return without performing the bcrypt comparison used for existing accounts. An unauthenticated attacker can measure response times to enumerate valid usernames or email addresses, facilitating credential-stuffing, password-spraying, and phishing attacks. Version 2.4.1 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-77582 1 Tinyauth 1 Tinyauth 2026-09-21 N/A
Tinyauth is an authentication and authorization server. Prior to 5.1.0, Tinyauth exposes a remotely observable timing difference between authentication attempts for existing and nonexistent local usernames. internal/controller/user_controller.go loginHandler and internal/middleware/context_middleware.go basicAuth return quickly after internal/service/auth_service.go reports a missing user, while an existing user causes bcrypt password verification work. Repeated measurements can therefore disclose valid usernames and support targeted credential attacks. This issue is fixed in version 5.1.0.
CVE-2026-70658 1 Pay-rails 1 Pay 2026-09-17 7.4 High
Pay is a payments engine for Ruby on Rails 6.0 and higher. Prior to 11.6.2, Pay::Webhooks::PaddleBillingController#valid_signature? in app/controllers/pay/webhooks/paddle_billing_controller.rb compares the computed 64-character SHA-256 HMAC with the attacker-controlled h1 token from the Paddle-Signature header using Ruby String#==. An unauthenticated remote attacker who can repeatedly submit requests to /pay/webhooks/paddle_billing and obtain sufficiently precise timing measurements can infer matching digest prefixes and recover a valid signature. A forged accepted webhook is enqueued through Pay::Webhooks::ProcessJob and can cause a host application to update billing state, provision paid features, record refunds, or trigger customer notifications. This issue is fixed in version 11.6.2.
CVE-2026-74961 1 Mozilla 2 Firefox, Thunderbird 2026-09-17 9.1 Critical
Side-channel in the Web Audio component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, and Thunderbird 153.1.
CVE-2026-81159 2 Centarro, Drupal 2 Commerce Cybersource, Commerce Cybersource 2026-09-16 3.7 Low
Observable Timing Discrepancy vulnerability in Drupal Commerce CyberSource allows Brute Force. This issue affects Commerce CyberSource versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.10.0.
CVE-2023-50781 2 M2crypto Project, Redhat 5 M2crypto, Enterprise Linux, Rhev Hypervisor and 2 more 2026-09-16 7.5 High
A flaw was found in m2crypto. This issue may allow a remote attacker to decrypt captured messages in TLS servers that use RSA key exchanges, which may lead to exposure of confidential or sensitive data.
CVE-2023-24035 1 Nagios 2 Nagios Xi, Xi 2026-09-16 3.5 Low
An issue was discovered in Nagios XI before 5.9.3. The is_insecure_login_authenticated function uses a insecure timing comparison that leads to an attacker being able to bruteforce the admin password, by measuring timing differences in the comparison.
CVE-2026-87737 1 Ocaml 1 Mirage-crypto-ec 2026-09-13 5.9 Medium
An issue was discovered in the mirage-crypto-ec package before 2.4.0 for OCaml. There is a timing side channel for NIST elliptic-curve scalar multiplication: the time required for a lookup can depend on a secret.
CVE-2026-16037 1 Paytr 1 Paytr Virtual Pos Iframe Api (v9x) Whmcs Module 2026-09-08 7.5 High
Observable timing discrepancy vulnerability in PayTR Payment and Electronic Money Institution Inc. PayTR Virtual Pos iFrame API (v9x) WHMCS Module allows Black Box Reverse Engineering. This issue affects PayTR Virtual Pos iFrame API (v9x) WHMCS Module: from v9.0.0 before v9.0.3.
CVE-2026-84308 1 Phpseclib 1 Phpseclib 2026-09-03 6.3 Medium
phpseclib is a PHP secure communications library. Prior to 3.0.57 and 4.0.1, pure-PHP X25519 scalar multiplication in phpseclib/Math/PrimeField/Integer.php performs data-dependent conditional modular reductions in add() and subtract(). During the Montgomery ladder in phpseclib/Crypt/EC/BaseCurves/Montgomery.php, the reduction behavior of each step depends on the secret scalar prefix, creating per-step timing and libgmp call-count observations that can reveal a reused 251-bit clamped private scalar. The phpseclib/Crypt/EC/Formats/Keys/MontgomeryPrivate.php derivation path invokes the pure-PHP multiplication without a native-engine check, while phpseclib/Crypt/EC/Formats/Keys/PKCS8.php reaches it when ext-sodium is unavailable. Exploitation requires a reused or long-lived X25519 private key, knowledge of the corresponding public key, execution of the pure-PHP path, and a local observer capable of resolving individual ladder steps or libgmp entry-point calls. Ephemeral X25519 keys, including phpseclib's normal SSH exchange path, are not affected. Recovery of the scalar permanently compromises operations that reuse that key. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.57 and 4.0.1.
CVE-2026-59276 2 Spring, Vmware 2 Spring Security, Spring Security 2026-09-02 5.9 Medium
Several components in Spring Security compare security-sensitive values using standard string equality (String.equals()) rather than a constant-time comparison. Because String.equals() returns as soon as it finds a differing character, the time taken to reject an incorrect value is proportional to the number of leading characters that match the expected value. Spring Security 7.1.0 Spring Security 7.0.0 - 7.0.6 Spring Security 6.5.0 - 6.5.11 Spring Security 6.4.0 - 6.4.18 Spring Security 5.8.0 - 5.8.27 Spring Security 5.7.0 - 5.7.25
CVE-2026-42393 1 Open-xchange 2 Ox Dovecot Ce, Ox Dovecot Pro 2026-09-01 3.1 Low
The comparison used for the doveadm password and API key is not fully timing safe and can reveal the length of the configured secret. An attacker with access to the same network as the doveadm service, able to make repeated requests and measure response timing accurately, can learn the length of the secret, which reduces the effort needed to guess it. The secret value itself is not disclosed. Restrict network access to the doveadm service to trusted clients. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.
CVE-2026-82449 1 Cockpit-hq 1 Cockpit 2026-08-31 5.3 Medium
Cockpit CMS before 2.14.1 contains an account enumeration vulnerability in the auth check endpoint due to timing discrepancies in password verification. Attackers can measure response times across multiple requests to determine which accounts exist by observing that existing accounts trigger bcrypt verification while non-existent accounts return immediately.
CVE-2026-55785 1 Free5gc 1 Free5gc 2026-08-31 3.7 Low
free5GC is an open-source implementation of the 5G core network. Prior to 1.4.5, the AUSF component performs cryptographic authentication comparisons in internal/sbi/processor/ue_authentication.go with ordinary equality helpers. Auth5gAkaComfirmRequestProcedure compares RES* and XRES* with strings.EqualFold and logs the expected XRES* value at INFO level before comparison. EapAuthComfirmRequestProcedure compares AT_MAC and XMAC with bytes.Equal and evaluates XRES == RES with ordinary string equality. These comparisons can return at mismatch-dependent times, although testing did not demonstrate a practical remote timing oracle because of HTTP/SBI timing noise. The INFO log exposes authentication material to operators, log collectors, sidecars, or processes able to read AUSF logs. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.5.
CVE-2026-18259 1 Drupal 1 Token Content Access 2026-08-28 7.5 High
Observable Timing Discrepancy vulnerability in Drupal Token Content Access allows Brute Force. This issue affects Token Content Access versions: from 0.0.0 to 3.1.2.
CVE-2026-78500 1 Watchguard 1 Dimension 2026-08-28 N/A
A blind server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability WatchGuard Dimension Database Server Test configuration allows an authenticated privileged attacker to enumerate exposed network services on adjacent network systems.
CVE-2026-72701 1 Getgrav 1 Grav 2026-08-27 3.7 Low
Grav CMS before 2.0.16 contains a timing vulnerability in Utils::verifyNonce() that uses non-constant-time string comparison with the === operator instead of hash_equals() for CSRF nonce validation. Attackers can measure response timing differences to recover valid nonce values byte-by-byte through multiple requests, weakening CSRF protection below its intended security margin.
CVE-2026-75589 1 Vurtdev 1 Net-oauth 2026-08-26 7.5 High
Net::OAuth versions before 0.33 for Perl check HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-SHA256 and PLAINTEXT signatures with a non-constant-time comparison in verify. Each of the three compares the signature carried in the message against the locally computed one with the eq operator, which returns as soon as the two strings differ. The time taken to reject a signature varies with the length of the matching prefix. RSA-SHA1 is not affected, as it verifies through the RSA key object rather than by comparing strings. A client that can submit messages and time the replies may recover a valid signature one byte at a time rather than searching the whole signature space. Under PLAINTEXT the value compared against is the signature key itself, so the search recovers consumer_secret and token_secret.
